We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding at Grinkle Park nearby. We ate in the hotel on Friday evening and had an excellent meal, beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast again was delicious with a good choice. Our room was huge, very clean with a lovely comfy bed. As we said we attended a wedding on Saturday evening...

We booked this hotel at the last minute having wanted to stay in a hotel with a bit of character whilst near the coast. The hotel did not disappoint the public rooms were in keeping with a country house with bags of history and character. The bar was a delight to sit in with its fire warming the room nicely...

We stayed here recently for 3 nights and overall had a wonderful time. The place has loads of character and has a comfortable feel to it. The staff could not have been more helpful and the restaurant was so good that we ate in every night. Breakfast was superb. We will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful building very near to Whitby but hidden away in the countryside. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden, the breakfast was excellent and we got a very good rate. The welcome pack told the history of the house which was really interesting. Its a bit of a narrow drive up to it from the main...

We were shown to our room and it was obvious someone else had been checked in before us, there was a cold cup of coffee on the tray and rubbish in the bin. The lady from reception did notice it and gave us a clean tray, but didn't empty the rubbish and explained someone had been given this room earlier...

Booked this hotel so we could explore around Whitby and the north east coast a little. We got an excellent rate for a couple of nights in February, and found the whole experience very enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast (which was included in the price) was really good - there was even complimentary...
