Gothic style hotel run by Kev and Tish - the vampire themed room was amazing with a dinning room to match. The breakfast (Meat) was an all day breakfast - it lasted all day, more of a feast than a breakfast. Kev is full of information and suggestions of what to see and do.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed in the Greenman room and we were blown away by its presentation. Everything from the colour of the wallpaper to the 4 poster bed blew us away and the view towards the Abbey was lovely. The hosts were fantastic! If we weren't sure what to do that day, they would always come up with suggestions...

Pleasent stay at Bats and Broomsticks. Guy was very fitting to the hotel and theme, with a friendly funny personality. Room was clean and comfortable with quirky fun stuff in the room fitting to Halloween. Would have preferred a fitted shower and not a hand held one. Ok breakfast.

Just got back from another lovely stay. This is our favourite place to stay anywhere! Kev is always so lovely and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean with good quality bedding and towels. I cannot big this place up enough! We recommend this place to everyone we know and they all love it too. Really enjoyed my stay here over the new years weekend. Was made to feel very welcome by Kev and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and all the best places to visit. Room was comfortable with everything we needed and the extra glazing on the windows was brilliant as we were next to the road and...

You are made to feel welcome as soon as you step through the door! The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean and warm and the breakfast is delicious! Kev is so kind and genuine. Had such a lovely break; our 2nd time here (although been back to Whitby, staying in different places) and we definately will not be leaving...

A home from home. 'Stayed in Dracula' room - four poster bed, gothic decorations, and immaculately clean. (Modern concessions, however, in the form of tea-making facilities and the TV/video player :-) ). Extra touches included the 'emergency kit' in case of vampires, and - in case of a longer stay than ours- a selection of scary games in the wardrobe...

My mum and I have just returned from a 2 nights stay at Bats. This place is amazing, the decor is fabulous and it was immaculately clean. Kev the owner goes above and beyond, he even picked us up from the station. The breakfast was first class and a great start to the day. All in all, a fantastic break.

My lovely fiance brought me here for my birthday on Halloween. I've been wanting to come here for literally years however it's always sold out on Halloween due to goth weekend so I count myself very lucky to have actually been able to stay here especially on Halloween! The b&b is without a doubt the best b&b I've ever had...
