We were only in York one night on our whirlwind tour through Wales, Scotland and England. We were so happy our one night in York was at this very cool, homey hotel. It reminded me so much of being in our own home. We loved the decor and the friendliness of the staff. They even had umbrellas and reading glasses available...

We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Very friendly, attentive and efficient staff, clean rooms, lovely sitting room and a very good breakfast. The location is great for sightseeing in York, as you can walk to the main heritage centre within five minutes. Our only concern was that there is no car park, although the staff...

Efficient service with genuine warmth and care for all their guests are the hallmarks of this most marvellous treasure! From the moment we parked up and were greeted by Zoe, until leaving and saying goodbye to Sophie, we received such delightful hospitality from EVERY staff; attentive yet never cloying, claustrophobic or contrived. Our room was lovely with many thoughtful touches...

Ideally situated for exploring York. Inside the city walls, but on a quiet street. All the places you will want to see are within easy walking distance. We arrived early, but they were very happy to store our luggage until our room was ready, while we started exploring York. On our return, the lugage had already been taken up to...

We visited York for my husband's birthday and picked the St Denys (in the process of a name change to the Parisi Hotel) as it was central and sounded lovely on the website. We were delighted to find it lived up to expectations. In advance of our trip, staff at the hotel were very helpful in advising on and booking...

I loved this hotel! The staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming! The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the centre and the free parking is also just round the corner and the staff sorted this all out for us, however it is a public car park so just be aware with valuables...

Stayed for 3 nights, staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful, can't do enough to help and advise on places to go and visit/eat. Rooms very clean and comfortable but a little overpriced. Only complaint about our stay was the cooked breakfast, although excellent produce used it was only luke warm each morning. Location excellent. Would stay again.
