We stayed in The Sycamore Guest House for four nights and really loved the place! We had room number two which had lovely decor and an excellent, big bed. The room had its own bathroom which was really nice. There is a kettle and tea provided in the room. The Edvardian history of the house was really present in warm...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The place was very easy to find, it is just off the A19 leading into York. We arrived early and were going to go back later to book in but the room was ready. The owners are a lovely warm friendly couple, they couldn't do enough for us. Parking was £2...

We stayed at The Sycamore, during our visit to York in February. The property is situated in a cul_de_sac, and is easily accessible from the A19, as it passes through York. It is central to the city and is only a few minutes walk from the city centre and the castle and museums. Parking is available for £2 per day...

We stayed 2 nights here and it was fantastic. We got lucky as we were the only guests after New Year so it was very quiet. The atmosphere was great and it was only 10 minutes or so from the city centre and railway station. Breakfast was great and very big! A nice glass of sherry was available before you...

Great place, lovely people. Tasty and prompt breakfast to set you up for the day. Comfy big bed and good shower. Fab location a 10 minute walk through pleasant museum gardens to get to centre. Certainly no complaints from us!

11 of us stayed here for my husband's 50th birthday. Out for a meal Friday and to the races Saturday. The owners couldn't do enough for us even accommodating us with an earlier breakfast on the Saturday so that some of us could get to the hairdressers. Very friendly, lovely relaxed breakfast and comfortable rooms. Great location too

This is my 3rd stay in York, 3rd guesthouse but i must say this is the best one yet. A lovely little gem thats only about 5 minutes walk from the city. It's very clean, has very comfy beds, a good hot shower, a little tired in places but that's to be expected as it must be such hard work...

Had a short but pleasant stay here. The location was very conveniently located so we could easily walk to most walk to most scenic locations and was just a short taxi ride to the train station. The hosts were very congenial, the breakfast was terrific, and the rooms were very comfortable.

I recently stayed for a couple of days, The hotel was located just behind the railway station. The hotel charged £2 pound per day to park directly outside of the hotel during your stay which is cheap compared to everywhere else around York. Room was fairly small but bed was comfortable. They provide a full English breakfast and cereals etc...

Very handy to the station and to central York and the Cathedral. Parking is £2 per day just outside the house, so no quibbles with that. Rooms are small, the decor is very tired, but the bed was comfortable, everything clean. Breakfast is in a small dining room, and it was one of the best full English we've had in...
