We were warmly welcomed at the door and given some valuable information about the area. We found the room very comfortable with welcome tea/coffee. Breakfast was served on time and in a very friendly atmosphere. There was a good selection of fruit salad, cereals etc as well as a really good full English breakfast. We enjoyed the host and hostess...

During the heavy snow last December we decided to take the plunge and still make our way to York for the Christmas markets. I must say we were not disappointed and it was worth the trip. We had stayed at Elliots a few years previous and were very happy with the rooms the friendliness and the amazing English breakfasts. This...

We stayed here last year, and came back for more! Luckily, we even got the same spacious room as last time, which was a boon. The breakfasts are great, they really set you up for a busy day exploring the mnay attractions of York. And its location is ideal, in a quiet street only minutes away from the Minster, and...

What a lovely few days we had staying here. Not only was the room large, beautifully furnished and very clean, but the breakfasts were fabulous. We have met many friendly people in the places we have stayed but all the staff here were soooo happy. We were able to check in early as the room had been vacated and cleaned...

We really enjoyed our time at this B and B in York. It had great parking onsite and we could just walk through the tunnel and the Museum Gardens into the centre of York. Phil carried our bags upstairs for us and Maureen was very helpful. It was lovely to hear the girls in the kitchen singing as they worked...

The owners have set the all round standard for other B&B's to follow. Very friendly and helpful coupled with great accomodation.Breakfast set us up for the day, marvelous. We will most certainly stay there again. Maureen & Phil even put on a fireworks display and Hot air baloons, just for us...........nice touch. P.s, sorry about the Duvet.

We are traveling students. We care a lot about budget. Bed and breakfasts throughout the uk are a great deal considering the money paid and the service and comfort received. The moment you see your room, tears will form in your eyes.

A good quality b&b in a great location, 5 minutes walk into town. A last minute price made it a bit more affordable as normal price slightly high. Clean and comfortable and were made to feel welcome.
