This is advertised as a budget B&B but I honestly didn't think this low standard of accommodation still existed! The Victorian house could be beautiful if it had an entire make over. The room was awful, I don't know the last time it had a lick of paint. The wallpaper was pealing off the walls, the dirty carpet must be...

Really nice place to stay. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Nice and simple rooms, just what you need for a weekend break. Situated about 5 minutes walk away from the centre We always stay here every time we want to stay over in York and will continue to!

The guest house is within walking distance to the town and direction is simple. The proprietors are very hospitable and very helpful, couldn't "do enough for you". The room had freeview TV and access to free internet . Both the room and bathroom were very clean .The breakfast was excellent, with cereal,toast,tea/coffee ,juice and a full English .

this is a small B & B close enough to York's main area's but far enough out to be a bit quieter than being in the the centre, The owner's are kind and helpful and will try to make sure your stay is as good as they can make it, the building is a bit tired and could do with...

I stayed in the single room which quite honestly was most uncomfortable. The bed creaked, there was no duvet just a sheet, the basin was maroon and cracked, the door wouldn't lock or shut properly and I don't think I got a wink of sleep because the mattress was so uncomfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory but unfortunately the bread had visible...

Hosts very welcoming and really helpful. However had attic room at top and to say the least very basic, poorly decorated and very small.Very central to York and local facilities. Breakfast good and served by a very nice lady.

Greeted at the door and the wonderful service didn't stop for my 2 night stay, an old building with lots of charm. Only a 10 minute easy walk to Yorks main centre. Full English breakfast was delicious, Thank you Chris and Terese for making my stay so enjoyable.

I really loved staying here, it was a beautiful building in a great location (just a short walk from York City centre). The bathrooms are shared but this is made clear in the hotel booking information. For the location it's a great price. Our room had a view of the York Minster and was really warm, a great size and...

I stayed here for a weekend in January 2015. The owners were friendly and welcoming. While I had only booked a single room, the owners offered me a double at no extra cost because larger rooms were still available when I arrived. The room was basic but tidy and comfortable; well worth the money paid. Really pleased with the location,...

We stayed two nights for the Jorvik festival. Five minute walk from the city walls. We had a huge attic room with a view of the cathedral. Warm room, with television and toilet outside. Shower room one floor below. Very welcoming and obliging. Lovely breakfast, full English, cereals toast and tea/coffee. Would definitely stay again.

Thank Lucinda S
