What a wonderful evening we had at this place. Our first visit. A welcoming coal fire lovely decor tables nicely spaced and a friendly greeting. What more can you ask for ? Yes excellent menu and food wonderful. Our greeter and waitress was Lynn - she was lovely. All staff were attentive without being invasive. Cant wait to go back.

We never made it to the Hopping Hare. We booked for the Grand Prix weekend 2017 a year in advance and paid a deposit. At the time of booking the race weekend date wasn't fixed for certain We were assured by the manager that should the dates be moved, then our booking would be moved accordingly. NOT SO!!!! When we...

This is a lovely boutique hotel with good food, comfortable rooms, cheerful welcoming staff, and all you need for a business or private stay. It feels like a former manor house which has been updated and extended to make a very comfortable modern hotel but still keeping some of the original features, log fires, leaded windows etc The chef is...

One of the nicest meals we've had for ages. Great flavours. The ravioli and sorbets deserve special mention. Breakfast similarly good. Rooms characterful and comfy once we'd mastered the radiator controls.

A little bit away from Northampton centre but very charming. The rooms are comfortable and decoration very cosy. My room Nº 10 , on the roof , was a little bit like a puzzle to get there with stairs and endless doors . Anyway I love it and will definitely comeback. All staff very kind and professional.

The decor is lovely. Unusual bits and bobs to take your eye dotted here and there. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is interesting and not just run of the mill pub grub. The food was delicious and piping hot. Next time I'm in Northamptonshire I'll definitely go back for a meal and I've already recommended it to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
When my family bought the Hopping Hare in 2006 our aim was to create an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, somewhere just a bit different. A place to dine, stay or meet up and relax with friends, family or colleagues. We didn't want it to be stuffy, intimidating or over the top. We set about creating luxurious rooms, a subtle, sophisticated bar with a great selection of quality drinks and a restaurant offering some of the best food to be found in Northampton. As a family owned and operated business, we set the standards on service, value for money, atmosphere and personality. No detail has been overlooked in creating a hotel, restaurant and bar in Northampton with an individual blend of 21st-century chic, high standards and a laid back friendly feel that we are sure you'll begin to notice as soon as you step inside. We've got to know some of our guests well because they come back time after time. In fact, 2010 saw the completion of an extension to the hotel to meet increased demand for accommodation from a growing clientele. My team and I would love to welcome you to stay for brunch, lunch, dinner or just a drink. Once the Hopping Hare is on your radar we guarantee you'll be back.
