Stayed here before. Not the quietest with students playing volleyball in the corridors but rooms ok Staff - with the exception of the breakfast room - go out of their way to address any issues and are very friendly. Only serve breakfast now - quality very hit and miss and no vegan options of any protein! It takes a lot of effort to serve coffee as bad as it is in this hotel! It is cold, tasteless and actually undrinkable. Unlikely to be fresh - it is unpleasant.
I have stayed here before and would always come back when working around Nottingham. Nice spacious room pleasant decor fairly modern interiors .some minor details in the bathroom which could be improved on but wouldn’t put me off returning .. There’s a Gym on site if that’s your thing bar was unfortunately closed due to staffing plenty shops and food around if needed but breakfast was very good plenty of choice .so I would presume there evening meals would also be ok . The whole place has a nice relaxed feel and plenty of space for working if required .you g lady on checking was very pleasant and Simon on check out was very friendly and chatty also. sometimes you barely get a smile of people these days .. and feel he would be more than accommodating if you had any issues . Would defiantly comeback…
We stayed at this hotel overnight and found the service to be brilliant. Michael stood out due to his level of service calm and friendly manner The room was clean and spacious great view and easy parking Breakfast was good and plentiful Many thanks
So we booked this hotel last minute, we went for it as we got a very good deal!! Let's face it because of covid everywhere is charging a fortune and must hotels are pretty much the same and no one wants to pay an arm and leg for basic!!! So this I believe is a 3 star hotel, we walked in it was clean, front of house was polite and helpful, it wasn't busy so we were able to check in straight away (12.45 roughly) Went in the clean lift to out room, which was plenty big enough for all 4 of us 2 adults and 2 young children, the bathroom was clean, shower gel, shampoo and hand soap all provided, along with a rubber bath mat for inside the bath and your normal towels and bath mat for the floor!! The room had both a kettle and coffee machine, ironing board and iron, comfy robes. The location is great for getting the bus and tram into the city centre which our kids found great and also good if you were out drinking!! I4 and 36 stop right outside and take you straight into the city which is about 1.4 miles. Breakfast was good, not a massive choice but definitely more then enough, there was breads and pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fruit as well as hot food they only had scrambled eggs which looked way to watery for my liking but they were happy to make us some fried eggs!! I do have to say that we noticed that the Monday morning the sausages were different and better as was the coffee. Not sure if this is because they had more people through the doors as there was a meeting going on!! We asked for our room to be made up on day 2 which it was, more coffee's and biscuits added on day 3 I asked for fresh towels and the carpet to be hoovered unfortunately this was done but when we asked front of house for fresh towels we had them within 5 minutes!!! Over all this was a good hotel no not the best place I have stayed but not the worst!! Yes I would return, good location, parking, clean, friendly staff and decent breakfast!! …
Whole placed was pretty musty, having just reopened post-Covid. Carpets/rooms a bit dirty. It's pretty basic to the point of being more like a university hall of residence than a hotel. Rooms are big, but spartan and when we arrived basic things like a cup/bathmat were missing from the bathroom. Huge bed (2 singles pushed together?) but no bedside lamp one side nor sockets on either to charge phone. The bathroom sink had no overflow and tap had to be turned up onto full blast to run hot (when it was very loud so would disturb in middle of night) which was a "dangerous" combination. And the in bath shower only suitable for people under 5'6". Gym was reasonably well equipped, although took several goes to get in. Strangest of all though, De Vere forced us to move from the higher spec Orchard sister hotel, and then only opened the restaurant for breakfast, so had to make own arrangements for lunch/dinner. Poor outside lighting meant ended up walking on damp grass thinking it was a path. There is free parking, but not lots so one is encouraged to park on yellow lines.…
