Excellent meal in superb surroundings and excellent staff. Ample parking and wheelchair access, beautifully restored old hall with all the modern requirements. Highly recommended for groups, separate dining room available, and ideal for couples wanting a relaxing meal.

We stayed here a few days whilst visiting Nottingham for a concert. Most hotels near Motorpoint Arena charge around £10 a day to park and we'd traveled from different locations meaning two cars. This was the first option that came up with free parking so I just booked. So glad I did. Beautiful location, lovely big room with a wonderful...

I stay here very regularly and have to say overall this is one of the best in Nottingham area. If you like a bit of charm and individually presented rooms then Colwick ticks this box. The service is good and the staff helpful and courteous. However the real excellence begins with the kitchen. Byrons serves extremely good food. Fresh and...

Any hotel, no matter how fine, or how good the rooms are that fails to supply hot water to wash or shower in in the morning but then insists on charging you full price for the room does not deserve anything more than a terrible rating. It's your duty to supply the basics which includes hot water, if you fail...

For over 15 years we, a group of 10 senior but active folk, have enjoyed a New Year break in various cities around the country. Our criteria for choosing a venue are that it should have a black tie dinner dance, the food should be good, there should be music and dancing and most importantly a lively atmosphere. We have...

We wanted somewhere to stay for a visit to nearby family. We found somewhere not only comfortable but with very helpful and kind staff. For, instance, there is no lift but our room was changed to the first floor to help my husband who has difficulty with stairs. We will definitely be back.

Although we only live in Nottingham, after a hectic two weeks of voluntary work organising numerous festive events for elderly people, we just had to get away. I realised this months ago, so booked for us to spend 5 days at Colwick Hall arriving exhausted on Christmas Eve. Well, we have enjoyed Christmas meals in many good hotels/restaurants both here...

Had Christmas lunch here. The setting was Byrons Brasserie which was very nice - last year we had a table in the Grand Ballroom however both are lovely locations. Service was very good and attentive. Everyone was willing to ensure you had a good experience and that was very much a positive. Food however didn't live up to expectation. Whilst...

Given the very affordable price of the room i was thinking before we arrived "it can't be up to much" but was proven totally wrong. Nestled in the middle of Nottingham this was a great place to spend the night. Lovely presented rooms. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Exceptionally good value. Will stay again
