We recently stayed for an impromptu evening and meal away in a lovely part of the world, taking advantage of their dinner, bed and breakfast offer. We would certainly recommend it, it's a lovely country inn in a beautiful area for walking/cycling with comfortable rooms, above average pub restaurant food served by attentive and friendly staff. The historical links with...

This place is faultless. We booked a three night stay at The Swann in January just to get away from the hustle and bustle of London. This was the perfect place to spend our time. Set in the middle of no where, with huge open fields and a river for perfect walks, this place exceeded our expectations. We stayed in...

This really has to be one of the best places I've visited. The staff (a Transylvanian man and his Swedish girlfriend) who ran it were beyond helpful and friendly and made our stay one to remember. It helps that it was so hot we could make use of the lovely garden (with lots of lovely bantham chickens running around) and...

We visited for dinner while on a weekend trip to the Cotswolds. Google maps said that it was ten miles from our hotel. It didn't tell us that it was down pitch black single track roads - not much fun on a snowy winters evening. We arrived to roaring fires and a lovely atmosphere. Menu wasn't large but there was...

A Wednesday lunchtime birthday treat. My friend booked lunch as a surprise and as usual the Swan did not disappoint. The staff are lovely and attentive without being all over you. The food was truly inspired and we sat by the roaring log fire and enjoyed every minute. It gets so busy I recommend you book.

Very good country pub, with a small number of well appointed bedrooms. Decoration is "farrow and ball" colours, good bathrooms. A number of rooms are in a stable block 20 metres behind the pub. Food in the pub was very good, from a wide and well put together menu. Helpful and friendly staff make for a very pleasant stay. Would...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming log fire and history all around the Inn about the Mitford Family. We stayed in the Windrush Room which was excellent and overlooked the River Windrush. I would highly recommend The Swan for a long weekend break away from the hassle and stress. Although off the beaten track it is well worth a visit...

We stayed at The Swan for just 1 night between Christmas and New Year and wished we'd stayed for longer! We chose it for location as a half-way venue between friends travelling from the south west and us from the north. We were a large group of 3 families, 11 in total with 4 children under 10 (which we know...

Dear Guest, Firstly, I would like to thank you for bringing your family to our little bubble , I perfectly remember your family, you wouldn't even notice the kids so highly educated, and the girls serving that night just loved them! Also I would like to thank you for your compliments about the food us we have worked extremely hard...

This gastro pub was a great place to stay and eat. We stayed for 4 nights over New Years. The location is in the middle or no where! You cross an old stone bridge which crosses the Windrush River. There are rooms on both sides of this single lane country road - we stayed in the satellite building across the...

We visited to celebrate the New Year for three nights with friends over from Canada. My cousin spent a great deal of time researching for the best play for our stay, she did well! The best part of the Swan are the staff who are small group of people from various parts of Europe. They couldn't do enough and showed...
