We were on our way to Hereford and met up with my daughter and husband at The Angel Inn at Burford for lunch. There was no parking at the inn but were directed to the free car park in the village which was very close. The Inn was very homely with a great menu and excellent service,we had a few...

Roaring fire, comfortable chairs , real ale and a lovely cup of coffee. What more do you need after a days shopping? This is a lovely pub just off the main street. Lots of character and charm. Well worth a visit.

Visited for lunch midweek without a booking and was instantly impressed with the cosiness of the place as soon as we walked in. The Christmas decorations were classy and the roaring log fire added to the ambience. My partner and I had their speciality sandwiches which were both excellent. Service was great, couldn't fault the place. Don't be fooled by...

We spent the week end in Burford and asked a local resident where to eat. He pointed us in the direction of The Angel. What a find. The pub is comfortable with a log fire. From the booking of the table to the time we left the staff, food and service was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere was...

We booked very last minute and got a really good price The room was lovely and the decor suited the age of the building Lovely bathroom, soft carpet, amazing window seat and a massive double/king size bed. Not your average hotel room at all The walls are quite thin though so you could hear the room next door in the...

Spending a lot of time in the Cotswolds has been a forever joy. Part of that joy is good dining, surprising pleasure, flavorful food. The Angel met all three. My husband and I can attest to appreciating a little sparkling gem in Burford while we're vacationing. The sauces are particularly noted. He had an excellent mushroom starter which he said...

We spent 5 days at The Angel while using it as a base to visit locations around the Cotswolds. There was a friendly and helpful greeting when we arrived, checking in quickly and being shown to our room. The room was spacious with all of the facilities that would be expected - it was also clean and beautifully laid out....
