I was visiting family in Burford, they recommended the Bull. We stayed for drinks and an evening meal. The service from the staff was simply amazing and could not be faulted in the slightest, they were very polite, courteous and very helpful. The evening meal came out in a very timely manner, despite the restaurant being busy. The food itself...

The Bull is a 'period hotel' on Burford high street. We went for a meal with special friends who mean a great deal to us. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff, served drinks at the bar, then shown to our table. There are a wide choice of meals, and even wider choice of wines. Three of the...

Found the Sunday Lunch absolutely delicious and very good service. Just cooked rolls with olive oil and balsamic followed by a wonderful seafood platter for starters with gravalax and smoked salmon roses, prawns and much more, followed by roast lamb and all the trimmings, delicious. Just thought that the flooring which is tiles was quite cold looking and didn't really...

As part of a two-night stay we had an enjoyable dinner here (two generous fillets of sea bass) which sadly was only tainted by the absurd, intrusive and totally inappropriate muzak that we had to endure.. ("Hit the road Jack and don't come back no more no more...!" etc). Fortunately my name is not Jack! Whatever was the French proprietor...

When staying in an area I like to try and stay in accomodation that reflects the area. The Bull seemed a perfect choice. I also chose it because it had parking and we had a hire car. On arrival the car park was closed for repairs so my husband dropped me off with our luggage while he drove round and...

A two night stay at another lovely location. Lovely village. Hotel is super, the staff are really welcoming, nothing too much trouble. We were in the Market Room which has hidden secrets. Free parking a short walk away although loading and unloading can be done in the street at the fromt of the hotel although beware of local drivers, we...

Dropped in here recently for a post-dinner drink and found the Charles Wells bitter to be in fine fettle. The staff were very pleasant and chatty and the atmosphere was fine. There were signs that the interior had at some time been "improved" but this had not really been a success when compared to some of the more authentic interiors...

The Bull is in the most beautiful Cotswold village with bustling independent shops, cafes and restaurants. It is on the main high street and is an old imposing building with some parking at the rear. It was built in the 1600s and looks a bit as though the owner is chasing building problems which you would expect from a building of...

Stayed for one night on a DB&B deal. Phoned ahead to reserve a time for dinner and spoke to an extremely helpful Sasha. Sasha was on reception when we arrived and throughout our stay. Room comfortable four poster. Dinner excellent quality and service first class. Breakfast was exceptional and the sticky muesli delicious. Sasha was on hand again to look...

Dropped in for a quick drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Lovely old coaching inn, quaint and cosy inside. We sat outside with a beer and a G&T for around an hour just watching the world go by. Little expensive, but would definitely go back. Very busy outside.
