Had high hopes upon booking, as looked an idyllic reasonably priced package for DB&B, even though was a 2/3 hour journey just for one night. Upon arriving, road far busier than anticipated, and check in was somewhat slow due to understaffing. When shown to Fulford room, commented room was very cold, to be told heating would come on later, though...

We stayed here during a trip to the Cotswolds. The Highway Inn is a lovely friendly hotel, nice relaxed atmosphere with lots of character. The staff were really friendly & very helpful when needed. The hotel building is very old so has sloping floors & walls but this adds to the character of the place! Being a dog friendly hotel...

Beautiful location in Burford, lovely old building, comfortable bed with good pillows, quiet room = good nights sleep. Excellent meal in the evening followed by an equally excellent breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff. Local real ales. Only stayed one night but certainly worth going back again

We had one night here, fairly cheap at £49 b&b, evening meal wasn't too good or worth the money, but the breakfast was okay. Our room was a large twin, usual hotel amenities and a large bathroom with bath and a really good shower. Comfy beds, nice warm room, windows were old and a bit draughty but okay really considering...

We had a lovely winter two nights stay at the Highway Inn last visited two years ago. Everything is still very clean and efficient and yes there is still a decanter of sherry in your room, really lovely touch. We dined in accompanied by the classic log fire. Excellent food and very attentive and efficient service. Would recommend this as...

Looking at the reviews we must have been unlucky with our room. In need of decoration (especially the window frames they were terrible) and the bathroom needs condensation issues sorting out and modernising. It needs mixer taps as the water was boiling as the warning notice told us. After a shower the walls and everything were running with condensation which...

Attended a wedding locally to find the whole area fogged in. Lucky to find a room at the Highway Inn, as they just had a cancellation minutes before. It's a traditional pub, the room was fine, the staff friendly and helpful, and we had a nice breakfast before leaving.

We stayed at the Highway for a night recently, arriving on a chilly winter's evening and were greeted by the friendly staff, who offered us a drink in the cosy bar area. We were too late to eat, but I know from previous experience that the food here is very good. The room was lovely; tastefully furnished with a really...
