To understand how much this place should be on your radar, I need to bore you with some details. My wife is 37+ weeks pregnant and we wanted one last little journey before the two became three. We wanted to be close(ish) to London in case things started early, but far enough away that we could enjoy the time. The...

Great ales and food. The service was second to none and the lady who was running the pub (Louise?) was very friendly and seemed to run a tight ship. So long as the pub is under this management we will return. I work in a large local company and would recommend this pub to my 600 colleagues and anyone else...

Could not give a review about the food. Each table next to and around us had at least two dogs in their company. Very small tables in very close proximity to each other (pile 'em high. stack 'em in). The smell coming off the dogs and their doggy smell owners disgusting as they all had been for a jolly walk....

All the staff at Falkland Arms were enthusiastic and made us welcome. The pub and rooms were very old and quirky. The floor downstairs is great big flagstones and the decor is lovely and rustic. Our room (no 4) was above the front door and we wondered if it would be too noisy on Saturday night. It was fine and...

Terrific – superlative village pub with blazing fireplace in the winter. Excellent food at dinner and breakfast and the bedrooms are lovely (albeit up steep stairs). Nice garden in the rear. Quintessentially English village off the beaten path with thatched cottages and lovely walks. Friendly and accommodating staff.

If you want to see a 16th century pub this is a must! ( Do a little research online; the history is fascinating!) I've been told it's a favorite of Prince Harry, but I wasn't in luck. You will feel like your stepping back in time, as you enter the little village of Great Tew. Have your camera ready, as...

Stayed recently whilst in the Cotswolds and loved this lovely old pub that is steeped in history and atmosphere. The room was comfy albeit the en suite shower room is very small but usable. The beer was fine with a nice choice and the evening meal in the restaurant was spot on including a great steak - at this point...

The Falkland Arms is the perfect gem to find when looking for an authentic local place without compromising on service. A charming pub hotel in a charming village, it's efficiently run but much more importantly, it's a friendly place with a likeable buzz to it.
