Our daughter will be starting at Oxford University soon, so we decided to treat her to an overnight stay in the city to celebrate her achievement. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were impressed to find that a parking space had been reserved for us by name in the car park. We weren't expecting our rooms to be ready as we arrived at noon, but were delighted to find we were able to get in straight away. We received a very warm welcome from Grace Du Feu who did our check-in. We told her the reason for our stay and shortly after we went to our rooms, she came up with a gorgeous plate of complimentary pastries for our daughter with 'Congratulations' etched in chocolate on the plate. Our daughter was thrilled with this. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. To get to the room we passed through the restaurant decorated with beautiful works of contemporary and historical art. The rooms themselves are sublime. Tastefully decorated, super-comfortable beds with luxurious linen and high end bath products in the generously sized bathroom Everything was spotlessly clean. Pleasing little touches from the generous bowl of summer fruits, flowers and books on the bedsides really reflect the importance placed on guest satisfaction. The room was very peaceful and had really efficient air conditioning (unusual for many UK hotels). We had breakfast served in our room. All fresh and delicious. In my opinion this is an outstanding hotel. We will most definitely be returning guests.

First impressions are so important and as we were driving to Oxford we had asked for a parking space. As we drove up a space with our name was there waiting for us. From check in to check out the staff could not do enough for us and we felt valued customers. We had booked a deluxe room which was excellent. The bed was so comfortable (and big!) and had a very spacious bathroom with a very good shower. Complimentary coffee, milk and water and the biscuits were an added bonus. The breakfast was delicious and served outside as weather was good. Staff very attentive. Location of hotel was brilliant and we walked everywhere we needed to. An excellent 2 night stay in a charming old building.

Room Tip: Our Deluxe room faced church but was quiet. At end of corridor so no passing guests.

This hotel has the perfect mix of historical charm blended with spotless modernisation and contemporary cool. The staff were lovely, the food exceptional (dinner at the Grill and breakfast) and the place has a really warm welcoming home from home atmosphere. It was worth it!

We've lived in Oxford for 5 years and always kept saying that we must go for meal at the Old Parsonage but never got round to it. However we booked the Pike Room for our wedding Reception meal and an overnight stay for our wedding night and it was just perfect! The venue is stunning from the moment you step into its front courtyard and every single member of staff we encountered was extremely professional and yet so friendly and down to earth! Every staff member seemed to know it was our wedding day which was an extra special touch. The room we stayed in was stunning, completely spotless, beautiful decor and incredibly comfortable. Also very quiet at night despite being in a city centre. Breakfast was delicious, the full English is truly not to be missed it used very high quality ingredients. The highlight was having our reception meal with family in the Pike Room. The room is beautiful and food was outstanding. The best scallops and steak I've ever eaten (and all our guests agreed!). Our waitress was spectacular, such a high level of attentiveness and so friendly. Nearly all guests ordered steak cooked differently and she remembered every single person's order to perfection, waiting tables is not always an easy job for a large group but she was such a pro! Very good with our 4 year old nephew as well and made it so welcoming no matter the age range of the group! The venue, food and staff made our wedding reception unforgettable and truly special and we didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be going back for many more meals in the future and would highly recommend a stay in one of the rooms!

Visited just last week as a treat for my 50th Birthday and had a really good time. My wife had booked everything, so it was all a surprise to me, and I loved the whole stay. We were put in the Randolph suite on the top floor which was lovely, really spacious room with everything we needed, even a bottle of wine and little cakes to acknowledge my birthday. Receptionists were welcoming and even took our luggage to the room. Breakfasts were all superb, we took turns over four mornings with the full English, scrambled and poached eggs, omelette, granola, porridge and also tried the smoothies, everything was spot on. ( I even had a couple more cakes with a candle in on my actual Birthday morning ) All the staff and servers at breakfast were faultless. The room itself was kept spotlessly clean, everything was replaced or topped up as required, on one occasion I'm sure that housekeeping had cleaned the shower and replaced the towels within the evening turn down service, which is surely above and beyond. All in all, I'm very glad to have stayed and didn't really want to leave! The only tiny negative I have is the car park is a little tight, if you arrive when the restaurant already full, you might struggle, but that's it, that's all I have in terms of a moan, and in fact the problem is probably due to other people driving unnecessarily large cars rather than the size of the plot! 😊 So, finishing on a good note, thank you for a great stay, and the great service.
