We had 7 rooms for two nights, including the bridal suite for the second night. The total cost was over £4300 (about $6900) including breakfast and local tax but excluding other food or beverages (charged separately). Our overall impression was of poor value. For example: our room costing £275 (=$440) per night did not have a tub, nor even a...

We are disappointed to learn that you felt you had received poor value for money. We pride ourselves on being a luxury boutique hotel, in an historic building. Our rooms vary in size but have all been recently refurbished to the same high standard. Linen robes are provided for all guests; they hang on the back of the bathroom door....

Stayed for two night with my teaching partner + 10 of our students. I don't think I have ever experienced such qualified and pleasant service anywhere. You instantly get the feeling of being in some big family's living room. The hotel is tiny but uses every square inch extremely well. The hotel has just undergone a major renovation which seem...

This is a delightful old hotel, but the interior with all the new grey decor is a little charmless for my taste. However, in the new style of stark minimalism, there is no faulting the taste of the decor. No iron or board in the room had staff scrabbling to locate one for me ( they did!), and I would...

As this was my first visit to Oxford, I scoured the TA reviews to find a quiet, top-notch hotel that could (a) make me feel like I'm known and (b) allow me the privacy to study. OP did a great job of that. My third story suite was large, quiet, and looked out onto a peaceful courtyard. While my room...

Perfect for our special occasion and really appreciated by all special guests. The bedrooms were delightful, late night drinks easy, breakfast particularly tasty. Two features stood out, the friendly and efficient staff and the wonderful character of the place; from original and fascinating local maps to the magical, secret garden (perfect for photo shots)! Not cheap, but sometimes you don't...

Having lived in Oxford for many years, we thought we'd treat ourselves and stay here for a reunion lunch the following day. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the City, close to vibbrant Jericho (where we always hang out) and yet amazingly quiet and peaceful. The service is outstanding. Professional, yet informal and friendly. We stayed in...

so, a group of us descended for a Nigerian/British wedding on Oxford. Often a challenge for any inflexible hotel. So, my room pretty small but 'perfectly formed'. obviously newly refurbished including the small but wait for it - perfect shower. Great strong pressure, mix of fixed top shower head and a hand held for your bits! Showers are key, right!?....

This was our first visit to the Old Parsonage after their recent rennovation. Most of the effort went into making the guest rooms modern in design and furnishings. They succeeded well in their efforts. Luckily they preserved the facade and entrance area in its original form with only a new registration desk added. The superb service remains unchanged and breakfasts...

This charming gem of a hotel is perfectly situated in Oxford- about 2 blocks from the center of town. The outside patio is a lovely place for tea or a drink, and their inside restaurant has so much character: walls lined with portraits, old fireplace, very luxurious bathroom. The room I was originally given was situated immediately above the fireplace...
