My family and I recently stayed at the Macdonald Randolph Hotel and had an outstanding stay. We were travelling with four children (ages 5, 7, 9, and 11) and three adults in our party. They were able to accommodate us in two adjoining rooms that were large and comfortable for our party. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful and...

we stayed for our wedding anniversary, and enjoyed the room which was everything you would hope it would be. great location and would recommend it. however, we were disappointed with the breakfast. black pudding in the full english was really really good, but the scrambled eggs tasted as though they had been mixed from a packet/had cornflour in them/weren't quite...

Arranging a reunion after 37 years seemed a very daunting task for me and my friend. I should not have worried as Vicky from the sales office made the process very straightforward. She was very professional and had lots of useful tips. The group of 25 initially met in the Garden bar then went through to the Lancaster room for...

The room was not huge, but extremely smart and well equipped. Hotel staff very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. I also recommend cocktails in the Morse bar. My wife and I try to get away for one night, regularly, and spent more on this hotel than we would normally do, having spotted it on a recent theatre trip. We...

We met for coffee and a light lunch with relatives who were staying at the Randolph. Whilst the ambience was very nice the service and presentation were poor and not what I would have expected in a hotel of this calibre. We weren't sheen to our seats. I ordered a cappuccino. It was served in a cup without a saucer...

Very good attentive staff from the reception to the housekeeping, nothing was too much trouble. Had a table cleared especially so we could go down and have tea and biscuits down stairs rather than in the room. Lovely power shower and robes. Large queue at checkout but we had arranged to just have an express checkout Didn't get an opportunity...

Iconic bar in old style setting within the Macdonald Randolph hotel, which has been developed as a theme bar commemorating Colin Dexter's Morse detective character. I had a pint of West's Str Mungo's (£5.00 a pint) which was excellent although I was left wondering why they couldn't source a beer just as good from the local area rather than bring...

Booked this at the last minute via hotel chain's telephone booking and got better deal than Secret Escapes. We arrived very early and left our car (valet parking at £28.50 is a bit steep). We were told to return at 1pm when our room would be available. We did. It wasn't. We would have been happy to return at check...

This is a beautiful building located in the perfect spot from which you can explore Oxford. A short 10 minute walk from the train station. Unfortunately our first interaction was the over run and unprofessional porter & concierge who between them were so inept that we struggled to enter the premises. Checkin staff were great, as was our Executive room....

We arrived late but lunch was still available, it was 2pm. We ordered 2 Barnsley lamb chops, 1 Sea bass and 1 Fish pie. The service was very good with polite staff. We all enjoyed our meals and eventually left at 4pm, a long late lunch.
