Parklands is a great place to stay if you want to explore Oxford. It is within walking distance from city center but there is also a bus that runs every five or 10 minutes and stops off right in front of the bed and breakfast. The staff are all very nice and Allison was particularly gracious and helpful to us...

We found Parklands to be very convenient to walk to the city centre about 15/20mins but otherwise there is an excellent bus service we booked a superior room with a seating area through an agent, but were not given this although parklands gave us a discount,so make sure if booking a superior room you get what you want.we also thought our...

We are SO glad that we stayed at Parklands! First, you are close enough to the city center that you can either walk (15-20 minutes) or take a bus (3-4 minutes) -- so very convenient. Second, the location is blissfully quiet; the weather was quite mild, and we slept with the windows open and were undisturbed by any noise. Next,...

I stayed at the BnB in a single room while I was in Oxford for work last November. Whilst the room was quite small, it was perfectly clean and very cosy. The staff was lovely, very helpful, but not imposing and the breakfasts were amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. A beautiful old building, but with all the modern...

Friendly, clean and very comfortable. Convenient for walking into Oxford (15 min straight down Banbury Road). Excellent breakfast with good choice of fresh fruit, cereals and pastries + selection of cooked food - would definitely stay again.

I had a very warm welcome on arrival from Sue the manager before disappearing off for the day. When I returned Rob, the evening manager, showed me to my room. I could not have been made more welcome by them both, they showed genuine interest in and care about making my stay comfortable. The room was one of the most...

We stayed for 2 nights here to visit Oxford. The building itself seems to be a house converted into a B & B and I loved it! Our room was on the first floor. There is no lift but the staircase is lovely and wide. There is a smaller staircase up to the 2nd floor but I didn't go up...

We stay in Oxford quite often to visit family in north Oxford. We like trying different hotels and B&B. Parkland is one we found disappointing. Location is bad, too far from center and a bit of a walk to summertown. Staff unfriendly kind of aggressive on the phone. The check in person never smile nor took any interest in the...

As other reviewers have remarked Parklands is a good quality B&B with an excellent breakfast but it does lack something. It could be the absence of a front reception desk which leads to a feeling of functionality rather than warmth on the ground floor, I'm not sure? The room itself was fine with a very comfortable bed. It felt like...
