We stayed in a 4 bed family room with ensuite. The room was good and had all we needed for a one night stay. Kids and I have stayed in similar YHA family rooms before and the kids (now 16 & 12 enjoy the freedom in the hostel) The hostel is lovely, good kitchen inc self catering and the dining...

Thank you very much for a great review of your stay at the hostel. We're over the moon to hear that you liked the hostel and had a good family stay with us. I'm pleased to read that breakfast was good and that you had a good nights sleep, despite our city centre location. I'll pass your review on to...

Oxford YHA is really brilliant. Right next to the station, very clean, extremely helpful staff, large & clean self-catering kitchen (thank you for still providing this opportunity!!). Only negative point was a noisy group staying on the same floor. Doors banging & shouting young people kept me aware for part of the night.

Thank you for your positive review of our hostel. We are happy you have enjoyed your stay. We are sorry about the noise. We were made aware about the noisy group and our night staff were repeatedly asking them to keep the noise down, but to no avail. Hope that did not spoil your stay too much and we will...

Spaceous room, staff very friendly, cook yourself or eat there for good prices, nice extra spaces (rec room, library/reading room, terrace, lounge, etc.) Wifi only in lounge, good breakfast with plenty of choice. Walking distance from town. Liked it a lot!

Many thanks for a great 5 star review of the hostel. We're really grateful for the super scores and your good comments - thank you! We're about to change our wi-fi provider next month & this should extend coverage throughout the whole ground floor. Hopefully this will make the reception area a little less busy and give guests the chance...

Great location in Oxford. Everything you need. Kitchen is good to have. Not enough space in fridges though - need large ones not small ones. Staff friendly. Room was ok, beds a bit creaky but comfortable enough for a short stay. Bathroom rather small. I thought it was a bit expensive for a YH but since it was a good...

Cheers for the good review of the hostel and a lot of useful information for future guests. We're really happy to see that had a good visit. Beds are all being replaced this winter, so that should bring an end to any 'creakiness'. Thanks for making the comment about the fridges in the guest kitchen - I'll keep an eye...

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your stay in the hostel and Oxford's car parking online. I hope that the information about the car parking will help other visitors. Just like a number of other popular cities, there is a shortage of parking in Oxford, and most of that around us is reserved for residents...

Hostel was clean, easy to find. Breakfast was decent for £5. Bar well stocked. 5 minute walk to the city centre. You can park at sea court park and ride for £2.20 a day which is a 15 minute walk away, or pay £2 for a return bus to the train station which is next door to the hostel. We...

Thanks for posting your comments. I'm really happy with the first part of review and glad to see that you had a good weekend in Oxford and found the hostel suited your requirements. I'm really disappointed with the second part of the review and sad to see that we let ourselves down with the booking system. I've sent an e-mail...

Thank you very much for a great review of your stay at our hostel. We really do appreciate the feedback and the good comments. We provide hand dryers in all our shared bathrooms outside of the rooms, but within the bedrooms we intend for guests to use their own towels - paper towels aren't good for the environment (and have...

So easy to get to and from Heathrow and Oxford is such a beautiful city. I've stayed at the Oxford hostel at least 5 times, maybe 6 and it is always clean and a welcome stop on my trips to England. It is a short walk from the train station and also close enough to walk to the bus station....
