Many thanks for a great 5 star review of the hostel. We're really grateful for the super scores and your good comments - thank you! We're about to change our wi-fi provider next month & this should extend coverage throughout the whole ground floor. Hopefully this will make the reception area a little less busy and give guests the chance... More

Great location in Oxford. Everything you need. Kitchen is good to have. Not enough space in fridges though - need large ones not small ones. Staff friendly. Room was ok, beds a bit creaky but comfortable enough for a short stay. Bathroom rather small. I thought it was a bit expensive for a YH but since it was a good... More

Cheers for the good review of the hostel and a lot of useful information for future guests. We're really happy to see that had a good visit. Beds are all being replaced this winter, so that should bring an end to any 'creakiness'. Thanks for making the comment about the fridges in the guest kitchen - I'll keep an eye... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your stay in the hostel and Oxford's car parking online. I hope that the information about the car parking will help other visitors. Just like a number of other popular cities, there is a shortage of parking in Oxford, and most of that around us is reserved for residents... More

Hostel was clean, easy to find. Breakfast was decent for £5. Bar well stocked. 5 minute walk to the city centre. You can park at sea court park and ride for £2.20 a day which is a 15 minute walk away, or pay £2 for a return bus to the train station which is next door to the hostel. We... More

Thanks for posting your comments. I'm really happy with the first part of review and glad to see that you had a good weekend in Oxford and found the hostel suited your requirements. I'm really disappointed with the second part of the review and sad to see that we let ourselves down with the booking system. I've sent an e-mail... More

This hostel was very nice and I enjoyed my stay greatly! I met great people in my room and we were able to adventure out and explore the amazing things the city has to offer by just going for a short walk right into the hub of Oxford! The common space was very nice with the wifi, and so was... More

Thank you very much for a great review of your stay at our hostel. We really do appreciate the feedback and the good comments. We provide hand dryers in all our shared bathrooms outside of the rooms, but within the bedrooms we intend for guests to use their own towels - paper towels aren't good for the environment (and have... The room is clean and large. The quilt is comfortable. They have a Library! What a fantastic place! The TV is a little bit small, the Wifi is only available for reception and the cafe. Very friendly. So easy to get to and from Heathrow and Oxford is such a beautiful city. I've stayed at the Oxford hostel at least 5 times, maybe 6 and it is always clean and a welcome stop on my trips to England. It is a short walk from the train station and also close enough to walk to the bus station.... More

Oxford is an expensive place to stay - especially for a solo traveller. The YHA offers affordable accommodation, in a great location right next to the railway station. Clean & smart, with an easy check in and good breakfast

No problems checking in. If you're in a car then parking is an issue - but it can be overcome. There are some free parking spaces across the road or need to park in the 'park and ride' which is quite a walk up Botley Road (but is cheap, secure and there are loads of buses). Rooms are clean and... More
