Fabulous setting. Very close (3 minutes) from Oxford City Centre. Rooms very well done. Breakfast not included (should be bearing in mind cost of rooms). Didn't eat there as expensive but restaurants right outside.

For business, it hits the right spots. As a tourist, you have to try it -- just because. But, it's removed from Oxford (not geographically, but in its essence) despite it trying to maintain a heritage link. The breakfast is exceptional as you can order nearly anything off-menu (eggs benedict). The grounds are worth meandering around no doubt. I'd stay... More

where should I start? The food was amazing, the views were magical, the staff were lovely. The surrounding grounds were very beautiful and lovely to walk in. The bathroom was extra spacious, and luxurious, making a shower or a bath super divine... The bed was very spacious, where even when our daughter joined us -horizontally of course- we hardly felt... So authentic staying in the cell rooms, wonderful furnishing and very comfy beds, although the pillows were a bit soft for our liking. Enjoyed the whole hotel design and our meal down in the brassiere. Unsure why the parking is so expensive? The only downside.

The concept of this is great and we had such a lovely stay, the superior cell is 3 cells into 1 - 2 cells for a bedroom and 1 for the bathroom. The rooms are nicely done and a very comfy bed :) It did get a bit hot though as u can't get fresh air in, and I would... More

I stay here every three months to visit a customer. I take my sister with me for a night out. I always ask for a twin room as we know this means separating a double into two singles. This time arrived with a double sheet double quilt. So on check in asked if it could be made into twin beds... More

"I wish that Malmaison may soon become the source of riches for all" Joséphine de Beauharnais 1763- 1814 I had high expectations of this hotel, having stayed previously at the Belfast property, and there is nothing to disappoint at the Malmaison Oxford. Until 1996 it was a prison, and the conversion is a great piece of design. But what really... More

Good hotel overall. Well, deserve 4-star concept, in fact, it exceeds the 4 star. Everything was as creative as possible. Cleaning at very best standards, friendly staff. However, breakfast was a bit expensive though and when you stay in your room(just small window in the top) for the long period of time I felt a bit stressed (don't know why)... More

This is a wonderful building to stay in. Great atmosphere and charm. Rooms spacious, comfortable and quiet - in the new wing where I stayed - complete with balcony. Friendly staff. Just don't eat in the brasserie.
