On first view it is lovely and fresh - however dare you take a closer look it is tired and dirty, the fixtures are not up to the job. The wifi is not the best. Upon check in, the mugs provided were in an awful mess, with soggy biscuit residue, reception soon helped with this - but this should not...

What a shame, have stayed at the Rutland before, but this time was a bad experience. Food not great, but mainly very noisy at night, not much sleep. Very tired speaker at the conference I was attending the next day. Staff lovely, but basic requirements lacking.

It's a long time since I've been as disappointed as I was with a hotel. Although from the photographs I did not expect the décor to be quite to my taste, I imagined that it would be modern and exciting. Quite frankly, it's dreadful with a higgledy-piggledy array of rooms, very poor maintenance in places (on one staircase the whole...

The Rutland Hotel is a fine place to stay for business but I wouldn't choose it for a break. The walls are quite thin and the soundproofing is not good. Particularly when the person nextdoor had a shower, the extractor fan is very hearable, and any noise from the corridor is disruptive. It didn't bother me too much, but then...

I stayed at this hotel after booking at very short notice. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel however is very tired and dated. The food is overpriced and tasteless. The breakfast is drab and unexciting. I would not recommend this hotel

A very tired and dated Hotel the corridors where scruffy in appearance. I felt one stair rail was unsafe due to the movement in it. Creased yellow stained curtains at the windows, lampshade in our room was stained. Our room was small and dark compared to Hotels we have stayed in before in the same price bracket. The dinning room...

I needed to go to a meeting in Sheffield so I thought it better to stay a little way out of the centre and this was an option. The room was very good with lots of space but the major plus is the food. I had a great steak and blue cheese pie for dinner and would recommend it to...

We made a booking on the Friday for the Saturday and got the last room. They did us a deal which was good, knocking £15 off the bill, but the room was small we were told. When we got there, the receptionist was very friendly and polite, and when we found our room it was small, but very cosy. It...
