We stopped at this hotel for two nights, we did not have any say in this as it was booked for us. We spent the first night in a poky little twin room set in the attic of the building. The size of the bathroom was miniscule. There was not enough room between the shower screen and the toilet. I...

Strangely enough we did not have a reservation when we got to Joe Cocker's home town. But a nice lady in a Fiat offered this recommendation at a set of lights(Thank You nice Lady) The service at reception when we got there was exemplary as was the room and the Restaurant/Bar.thank you James.

The food was excellent, as was the service. As someone who has to follow a gluten free diet I often find when meals are modified to be gluten free this is often done by simply removing items and not replacing them with anything else and as such I am left feeling somewhat cheated. Not so at the Rutland. Not only...

very clean and much better than Travel lodge - only thing for me was there was no bath and they didn't accept visa debit on arrival so had to use MasterCard and lots of steps. Ideal if staying over night for hospital visits/operations as car park is there but gets very crowded in afternoon and get easily blocked in

Been staying 3times per month for the last 6 months. Have stayed in several rooms and I can say that taking into consideration the location and the price you get to pay it should be a 5 star review. Good things: Clean, Small rooms take good advantage of space, Friendly staff, Good cuisine (not as excellent as they claim). Excellent...

I stayed at the Rutland Hotel for 4 nights for a course/meeting that was taking place at the hotel. Staff were friendly and the conference facilities were reasonable - tables were arranged but felt cramped. I stayed in a single room and as one of my colleagues accurately describes "they make good use of a small space!" The rooms certainly...

Just got back from this hotel. There really isn't anything positive except for the beds.. they are comfortable, but it ends there. I met about 5 staff members total, only the young girls smile, everyone else seems to hate their job/the customers. Room service woke us up early, and left when they realized we were in bed, THEY DIDN'T RETURN...

How on earth does this dump get four stars? The wallpaper is peeling in many places. The hotel is dark and dingy. Bedrooms have thick coatings of dust. Windows are filthy with cobwebs on the insides. Every floorboard creaks. I wouldn't kennel my dog there!

I came down for a family party and stayed at the hotel for 3 days. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable lounge area. Room was kept very clean, and the only thing missing was a suitcase rack.
