Great location easy access to town centre (walking distance) Clean and tidy rooms. No fuss just nice and simple. Had no issue checking in and beds were very comfortable. Great bargain and would definitely stay again

I find the negativity of the reviews on here confusing. I have stayed at the Metropolitan several times in the last few months, from March through to this most recent stay covered in this review (December 2016), most of them as a home from home while actually living in Sheffield. The same comments could hold for all these stays. The...

Booked this hotel for 1 night. The room itself was very dated and in need of a good refurb. A tea tray is supplied but you only receive 2 little pots of milk, unfortunately ours also had a half eaten pack of digestive biscuits and a dirty unwashed spoon. It seemed to be quite a noisy hotel with people constantly...

Looks absolutely nothing like it does in the pictures on here. The room stunk of weed and looked very dingy. Had someone trying to get in to our room early hours of the morning. Would have preferred to stay in the holiday inn which is next door.

To say we spent £85 for 1 night here was shocking to me considering the room was crap. The bathroom was dirty and not up to scratch, the pictures made it look a lot nicer but when we walked into reception we could tell it was run down. There was also no free parking, we had to drive to park...

It served me well enough. I decided at 22:30 at night I needed to stay in a hotel in central Sheffield. My twin room single occupancy cost £39 and was on the 9th floor. I thought the modern font in the branding might mean the property might be modern too but the room had most of the basic needs covered...

For the price, the rooms were good and location decent (about 10 min walk to city centre). The parking was also reasonably priced. Shame about the broken temperature control on the shower. Also, the overall style was fairly dated.

Dingy room with dark coloured walls and high intensity lamps led to a rather stark appearance. Carpet worn and generally in need of a refresh. Bed was OK but by no means new. Bathroom was of a good size and functional although again with outdated lighting. Towels and toiletries supplied as was tea/coffee making. Room not airconditioned, an electric heater...

You know what the more and more I look and think back to when I visited this hotel it gives me a massive throwback! Of how terrible it was. I couldn't believe it when I turned up into the lobby when the dark dull red carpet which had stains all over, then how can you forget them small grey 2...

My family and I stayed in two adjoining rooms for bed and breakfast. LOCATION - can't really say much about the hotel location vis-a-vis Sheffield. FACILITIES - the hotel has a bar and restaurant, although we didn't use either. There is limited free parking and nearby metered road parking and an NCP car park (the latter is not 24-hour). There...
