I stayed overnight as I was getting married the next day in city hall. My fiancé and I paid £40 for late checkout for 2 hours at reception. The following morning whilst being a stressed bride I got a knock and told room service I was checking out late. Then 30 mins later another knock, then an hour later another knock. I was already stressed and i was sick of answering the door repeatedly 4 times!!! On the 4th time the receptionist came up, to whom i explained i had paid for late check out. She asked to see a confirmation which they did not provide so I had to get my bank statements out to prove this!! They should be keeping all the information. On my wedding day i was left defending myself to not be thrown out my room in my gown, although I had paid!! It just put a downer on my day before the event!

Hotel's Favourite
We only stayed for one night to take in a show at the city Hall. Room was very comfortable and clean, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Would definitely recommend for a city centre stay.

Good service at reception and nice welcome and service at breakfast. Plenty of choice at breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. Room very clean and comfortable. Bed looked lumpy but was actually comfortable although suggest time for a new duvet as that had defifinitely seen better days. Room very quiet. We have stayed a the St Paul's a coule of years ago and although still good not as a good as it was, looking a little tired and a few of the public areas need dusting/refreshing but what doesn't after the last year and a half.
