The hotel is well located for central Sheffield with discounted parking at the Q-Park car park next door at £8.50 for 24 hours. Ask for a discount ticket at reception. The hotel and rooms are clean however we had an issue with a strong smell of drains coming from the bathroom which spoiled our stay.
Life doesn't work, dirty, water stays in shower while taking shower, marks on the wall. Etc lost goes on. And the prices are high as hell, wanted to extend till 10 at night and had to pay full amount s
Manger not very helpful, room not ready also no towels, stay away from this hotel, there are plenty of others looking for your business and are more friendly and helpful, location is fine but so are others, room look worn out and need a fresh update, I would say so do some of the staff.
This was by far the worst stay I’ve had at the Travelodge. One room was missing towels, pillow cases and toilet roll with curtains hanging off the rail and the other had a mouldy shower curtain and brown stains over the bathroom wall. The staff were wandering around communal areas without wearing face coverings despite multiple signs and an email received before the stay requesting customers to wear them. I had to go down to reception twice to request towels as they forgot to bring them up the first time. The staff don’t seem to care about customers at all and the company charges up to £200 a night for a substandard room.
Staff were friendly and helpful (shout out to the young lady who provided us with some sanitiser for our room), and it is in a great location in regards to being close to the train station. However, no soap in the bathroom and a room that wasn't very clean definitely bring the mark down. Breakfast was alright, but I would only recommend this place for people looking to stay one night and on a budget. Alarm randomly went off in the middle of the night too!
