Knowing we were visiting Worcester for our daughters graduation, we thought it would be nice to pop in on the way back to Mr Underhills, as it had been recommended by friends. We rang up to try and book a Saturday night stay and dinner several months before, to be told they only accept a minimum of two night bookings....

What a great evening. Beautiful venue, attentive staff and exquisite food. The dinner tasting menu is set, but there was no problem changing my main course from beef to halibut. Everything is locally sourced where possible, perfectly and imaginatively cooked and presented and the flavored were wonderful. It really was a delight.

We had high expectations having researched this (and The Yorke Arms) for a special long weekend Birthday 'tour', so were ready to be disappointed by either the room or the cooking, our glasses usually being half full..... ! We should not have worried! Our room (suite 1) was enormous, modern and as already mentioned by another reviewer , spotless, with...

I have to totally disagree with one of the earlier reviews! This restaurant is superb. My husband and I had dinner and it was simply faultless. Wonderful food, spot on service and a picturesque setting. We also stayed over and the accommodation standard was very good. Highly recommend a visit to Mr Underhill's!

As we had booked a table for the restaurant it seemed to make sense to also book a room. The descriptions of the rooms were impressive and at £250 bed and breakfast my expectations were high. However, when we were shown to the room although the décor was very nice it was not exceptional. Our room had 2 bathrooms, one...

Mr.Underhill's is a true gem of a place, it is quite unique in that it offers fantastic food in a small restaurant on the weir in Ludlow. On arrival you are asked whether you have any dislikes or allergies. When you go into dinner you are shown the menu to see if there is anything you don't eat. It is...

We stayed one night in the Shed. It is a lovely room, with a beautiful view, and we had no complaints except that it was massively overpriced. I travel a lot, staying in hotels, and am fortunate to often stay in rural hotels with excellent views. I would normally expect to pay less than £100 per night for this standard...

A delightful hotel with attentive yet unobtrusive staff. We stayed in the "Shed" which whilst is a wooden clap board building in the garden of Mr Underhill's has little resemblance to most sheds that anyone would come across. With plenty of space to relax and views over the river and Dinham Weir it could not be more picturesque. Ludlow is...

The most beautiful location I've stayed in! Exquisite food, beautiful rooms and attentive and friendly staff. My sisters and I took my mother as a birthday treat and it exceeded our expectations on all counts. A big thank you to the owners and staff for a wonderful stay.
