Great bed and breakfast in the perfect location for exploring Ludlow. Ourselves and our two dogs were given a very warm welcome by the son of the owners. Room was clean and comfortable. We did not eat dinner at the Cliffe but the menu looked amazing. Breakfast the next morning was great and the only reason we have not scored...

Go to The Cliffe maybe 3/4 times per year. Never let down. Brill and Steak dishes excellent and wine very reasonably priced. No experience of rooms, but from others including the decorator they are very good. Not in centre of Ludlow, but only a five minute walk from the main square. Should be better signed, but the useless Shropshire Council...

Well done to the Cliffe. Room 2 was a lovely large room, with a comfortable bed and a modest but workable bathroom. However, the restaurant was the star of this venue. The food was simply excellent, particularly the salted caramel chocolate mousse. After four hotels in a row not being able to get my hot breakfast correct, it was finally...

Room was lovely and the breakfast great . Would be good if the porridge was not brought at the same time as the scrambled eggs so that one does not go cold . Walk into town had lovely views across the river and the steep road helps to work up a thirst for the excellent pubs in the town.

This seemed to be a place that didn't quite know what it wants to be. A quite nice Victorian building has had not so nice bits added on. It also sits next door to a mobile home park - not that pretty - and some allotments. I imagine rooms at the front might have a view of the castle. The...

The inestimable 'Paddy Burt' (the pen-name of a former Saturday Telegraph hotel reviewer) once stated that her reviews and criticisms were set against the standard that the establishment purported to offer; and that's fair. A farmhouse B&B was judged according to expectations and delivery at that level - a 'fine-dining' Country House hotel came in for much closer and detailed...

A comfortable room with an incredible view of Ludlow Castle. Quite a few stairs to carry luggage up but worth it unless you have mobility problems. The accommodation is above a highly rated restaurant. This was a real bonus. I'd definitely go back.

BEDROOMS We stayed in a standard double room and were pleasantly surprised with the character and amenities in the room, with a large TV, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The décor was also to our taste; I believe it's been recently refurbished and they've done a great job. Although not the largest room (or shower room) we felt...

Spent a lovely weekend in Ludlow and stayed at the Cliffe. My 2 friends and I shared the Cottage and had a wonderful time. Breakfast and Dinner were exceptional - accommodation was fabulous - very roomy and clean.

We stayed for three nights and had a great stay. The location is great just outside Ludlow but close enough to walk to town if you want to explore or eat out. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food at both breakfast and especially for dinner was superb. Highly recommended.
