Had lunch in this nice looking hotel, bright and modern in decor, in the restaurant. Menu was limited but that means that the quality should have been good. It wasn't. The house speciality pork chop was very disappointing. Seventeen quid is a lot for one lunch plate so it should have been crispy with the crackling and moist with the...

Stayed for two nights over Easter whilst exploring the surrounding area. Friendly welcome from all staff. Bar area in the afternoon had a relaxed feel and on the Friday evening a live singer/guitarist was very good. The dinner we had in the restaurant was excellent. Great presentation and taste. Good value wine list too. We had a cosy size room...

Stayed at this hotel for one night to celebrate my husband's retirement. Friends joined us for the evening meal and family joined us for breakfast. We had a fabulous time, food was amazing and would definitely recommend the hotel and intend to return soon.

We stayed here for our anniversary and was completely happy with everything, my husband booked a room deal which included our room, 3 course dinner and breakfast the following morning, the hotel has been decorated to a very stylish standard, the room was very comfortable and the restaurant food was delicious, staff where also very friendly and helpful. My friend and I went here yesterday for lunch. She went in to book a table for later in the week and whilst we were there thought we would stay for lunch. I hadn't been there before. I thought it was a lovely place, very light and spacious, with a relaxed atmosphere, and staff were all friendly and helpful. We...

The second time I've visited the lion and pheasant and this time I was greatly disappointed. We decided to stop for a drink as we enjoyed our visit so much last time, but left feeling annoyed and rushed. We approached the bar, and politely waited for anyone who was there before us to be served, however the bar staff were...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review further to your visit at the hotel. We are really sorry to hear that you felt the service provided was poor. The bar gets very busy in the evenings and our bartenders are trying their best to serve everyone within a reasonable time frame. Your comments have been taken on...

What a lovely hotel Small rooms but it is an old coaching Inn. Very comfortable beds though. The restaurant is wonderful and we enjoyed a superb meal here. Will definitely try to return one day. Lovely walk along the banks of the Severn just 2 minutes from the door

We stayed a night at the Lion + Pheasant Hotel. Most importantly for us as it tends to be a deal breaker on whether we'd return to a hotel - the beds are very comfortable. We'd definitely go back just to be guaranteed a decent bed to sleep in compared with other hotels that just don't seem to get this...

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was beautifully soft, large and luxurious. The food, although quite expensive, was absolutely fantastic and well worth the cost. The menu had a list of where the food originated. The restaurant was full, which explains everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful all through the stay.
