Very sadly the food let this place down. We visited on a Sunday which may have had something to do with it. The staff are lovely and the background music superb! We had two tapas to start which were ok but then we opted for the sharing charcuterie platter. I have to say at £15 I would have expected more than a slice of stale bread, a handful of olives, two minuscule pieces of cheese and a couple of slices of cured meat with six crackers. Disappointing ☹️

Really friendly and attentive staff. The Cozy Double we had was clean and fresh with a good supply of customer toiletries , tea and coffees. The bed was comfy and the original sash windows not only added character but good ventilation with the sound from the road below kept at bay by the wooden shutters and curtains. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was superb - with melt in the mouth ribeye in a delicious sauce. Breakfast was just as good - try the vegetarian Full English. Would certainly recommend.

Stayed here first time for first visit to Shropshire. Excellent clean hotel with very good services, good food and friendly staff. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choices and for a very fussy person like me when it comes to well done fried egg, its the first time Ive been served a proper ' well done fried eggs' so thank you to the chef who's cooked it my egg request. You guys delighted me with my vegetarian breakfast

Lovely clean environment with excellent COVID provisions. Great choice on menu. Food was excellent but small portions and a basic offering on the plate for the price. I had fish, it was almost £20 and it came with two cubes of potato and two bits of vegetable and a spoonful of some kind of risotto underneath the fish. I would definitely go back though but would choose a more robust dish next time and a few sides!
