We were unexpectedly placed at Sir Walter Elliot when another property that we booked at had a burst pipe that made our room unavailable. The Villa Magdala was gracious enough to book us at an "equivalent" property. We arrived at the Sir Walter Elliot and we were surprized to see the dining room table heaped with laundry, more laundry bags...

elegant regency townhouse built in 1809, used in BBC movie "Persuasion". Like living in 19th century with 2lst century advantages. 10 mins walk to town, free parking, opposite lovely park and museum. Huge rooms, modern updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. Hosts were charming and very helpful, and the breakfasts were great.

We booked two nights at Bathwick Gardens (also called Sir Walter Elliot's B&B) via the visitbath website last weekend. Bathwick Gardens is a private, beautiful period property where they rent out three or so rooms on the second floor, as well as in the basement and attic. The property is stunning and is located around a 10 to 15-minute walk...

Lovely location and so handy for town centre-5min walk! Beautiful house and very friendly couple running it. They made us feel so welcome and a lovely breakfast. We were asked the night before what we would like for breakfast and what time, when we came down the next morning it was all ready for us. We were given a key...

An excellent location, just far enough out to be quiet and yet within easy walking distance of Bath centre. The building is truly stunning and the owners are welcoming yet not intrusive at all. We had rooms in the basement which were slightly chilly but only because the weather had turned suddenly but everything was very clean and the beds...

I stayed here with my daughter for just one night as we were visiting the university. It would have been nice to have stayed longer so I do hope to return at some time. We were made very welcome by a lady called Linda who was looking after the place while the owners were away. She was helpful giving us...

If you are looking for a place to stay in Bath, dont look any further, this is the place where you - be it a couple or be it a family- will enjoy being for a couple of days. The B&B looks more like a mansion than a B&B, the managers of this place are just lovely, discret, understanding, cultivated, respectful...

This B&B is very close to the centre of Bath which was my first motive for choosing it. We walked...

I had a fantastic time here in Bath and really enjoyed my stay at Bathwick Gardens. The hosts made me feel very welcome and gave my stay in Bath a lovely and personal touch. The whole house was kept immaculately clean and the en-suite room I stayed in was very well furnished and nicly presented. In the morning I enjoyed...

A beautiful Regency house with modern comforts. You feel like you've stepped back in time to Regency Bath, but you have immaculately clean spacious rooms, large comfortable beds and large tiled ensuite. We parked our car off street behind the coach house. Breakfast was a choice of either full English or continental - we had continental which was delicious and...
