Bath's not a cheap place but worth the treat, it is quite unique. We enjoyed the hotel but the Studio Room was a hotel room with plastic chairs for a sitting area, although the website did clearly show that. Apart from that all boxes were ticked and we'd stay again, situation is very good, everything is walkable and while there's... More

My husband booked the hotel for my birthday, we didn't know what to expect as neither of us had been to Bath before. From the start the staff were brilliant, I wasn't sure whether we had parked at the right car park so I went to ask the reception in the Hotel, the member of staff came out to the... More

We stayed here a while back (April) but really thought that we needed to comment on a few things, namely: How helpful the staff are - we arrived a couple of hours early but had had a particularly frustrating train journey, and wanted to freshen up prior to going out and doing some sight seeing. The hotel manager was more... More

This was a excellently located boutique style modern small hotel . Everything was provided, clean and quality toiletries , hot water bottle was a nice touch in what was cold weather. Cocktails were impressive, no food available on that stay but discount by using a recommended venue. Helpful very friendly staff, holding baggage until departure after check out was very... More

I don't like giving negative feedback, but in this case it is wholly justified. I booked two rooms for two nights for a girly weekend. Room no 3 on the ground floor was small but ok , however room 1.6 at the back of the hotel was a disgrace. Exceptionally small, damp with an overflowing shower, no storage space and... More

Attractive period hotel in a convenient location for the train station and city centre, decorated to a high standard. Room was clean and comfortable, well appointed but small due to the historic architecture of the building. Nice bar and great breakfasts. The staff were all excellent - truly the best customer service I've experienced anywhere in a long time. The... More

Have just come back from a wonderful weekend at The Halcyon in Bath. This was a Christmas present from my Dad from last Xmas so we were running out of time to use it.... In hind sight we should've booked a lot earlier to visit for the Christmas markets!! The location was so central- we could walk everywhere and didn't... More

I had never been to Bath before so did not know what to expect but it is a lovely. We were in Bath for my friends hen do and we stayed at The Halcyon. The rooms were lovely. The breakfast was average. The male staff are very good, smiley, happy and courteous. The female staff look bored, are very unfriendly... More

Went for an evening drink with friends in the Circo Bar &Lounge. We were slightly disappointed to find the lounge closed as we prefer that to the noisier bar, but this was compensated for by the welcome and quality of the service we received from the barman, Grant, and the staff. We may be tempted to go back and try... More

Recommended! Centrally located boutique hotel with good prices. I found my room to be cosy, clean and very comfortable. Very good breakfast (and believe me- I am fussy about food :). The hotel doesn't have a designated parking, but there is public parking next door with a rate of £12 per day.
