Easy going staff at the desk, fresh breakfast, free water dispenser, clean and tidy washrooms and bedrooms. Only upsetting thing was the loud backpackers at 1.30 am and about 4.00 am squeaky bed and sighs woke me up as shagging cpl.

We stayed in a private twin room. It was clean and comfortable, and the toilets/showers were also clean. The location is very convenient. Cons: we had to pay for towels and coffee.Overall we were satisfied, but not something special!

Freya value hostel. Super cheap but brekkie included and dorm was kind of cosy! Don't expect too much cause it's cheap. But I was very happy for what I paid! Thanks for having me. Outside business hours car park available next door otherwise relatively quite expensive.

I stayed one night in a dorm, but wasnt too busy. The hostel is nice, bathrooms are clean and friendly staff. The rooms were a bit dusty on the corner, but no big deal. Would stay again. Good location, can walk anywere from there. The entrance is in a desert area though, didnt come late at night so cant say... More

My stay in a single room was surprisingly good. The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable and had a nice big window and was quiet as at the back. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was good. The building did not look inviting, as it is old and a bit grungy looking, but the staff... More

Having never stayed in a hostel since my youth I was pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation. We had a twin room and the small beds were comfy but could have done with an extra pillow. Nice vibe, cool courtyard to chill in. Basic but good breakfast, toast, cereals, yoghurt and tea/coffee and fresh fruit. I have stayed in... More

I stayed in the males dormitory and my wife and mother in law shared a private room. The rooms were clean enough, considering it's a hostel with carpets. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Would stay again whenever I'm back in Bath.

Stayed 2 nights in a twin room. It is in a fantastic location in Bath and you will not find anywhere cheaper! For the price it is very good: clean showers and toilets, a simple breakfast included and a nice communal area with sofas and TVs. Bumps and bangs in the night (and gurgling drains) but to be expected- if... More

Stayed here with two friends as we were on a budget and wanted to have a girl's weekend away. The hostel is in the city centre close to the Abbey, the Roman Baths, Royal Crescent etc. We were able to walk to all of the attractions within fifteen mins. It's also close to George Street, home to bars and nightclubs... More

I visited Bath for a weekend and stayed at theYMCA. The staff was really friendly and I also got a map and they explained everything. I booked the 14bed female dorm. The room was clean, but I found a few hairs on my bed. The sheds were all clean. So the Bathroom, which was only for women, what I really... More

Our new and improved rooms will deliver a high standard comfortable hostel room for 2010. The YMCA is centrally located, just a stones throw away from all the major tourist attractions, tempting shops, sensational restaurants, Bath Rugby, pubs, clubs and award winning parks. If you want to be in the middle of it, then the YMCA is the location for you. The old Victorian building is at least 130 years old and overlooks the bustling Broad Street. It houses our dormitory accommodation for groups, backpackers and holiday makers. It also boasts a rather unusual mural on the grand main staircase. All guests have access to single sex bathroom facilities throughout the range of accommodation and all areas have secure access, ensuring your safety at all times. Staff on the 24 hour reception are nearly all locals who know Bath inside out. So we can help you plan your stay, organise and book tours or recommend a place to eat or visit. We will let you know what's on, where's in and what to avoid and what's unmissable in Bath. Guests at the YMCA also benefit from access to our fantastic health and fitness centre, with a great gym, a wicked range of classes for those of you who want to sweat, tone or relax, sauna, sunbeds and the friendliest gym staff you are ever likely to meet. So, if you are travelling but want to maintain your fitness program or just chill out in the sauna - we're the place for you. If you are travelling in a big group we can also offer conference facilities/meeting rooms further catering etc - just ask and we will do our best to deliver! We can accommodate over 200 people a night, so whether you are travelling alone or in a big group, old, young or with children - we have the bed for you.
