our room was fine, however, the en suite was too narrow and small.. You keep bumping into shower, wall, just small. Nice fittings but it is all. You have to walk across the court yard for breakfast. the place is nice but felt they want to have bigger function such as weddings and small conferences. You are right in the... More

A magnificently refurbished place to stay and worth every penny. Situated right in the heart of Lichfield and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We stayed in the converted stables and our room had a garden area with table and chairs provided. Not for us in October but great for the summer time. Great choice for breakfast and friendly... I would like to start by saying a big thank you to dan, elly for giving us a weekend that will never be forgotten and talked fondly about by the family for quite a while. From our first meeting with dan he took on all our ideas and tweaked them to make them better than with could of imagined. From start... More

St. John’s House catered for our wedding recently in August. We chose this venue, not only for its locality and facilities, but also on recommendation of other friends. We were not disappointed! Our day involved an al-fresco Prosecco and canapé reception for 180 people, followed by a family dinner for 50 in the evening, with family staying in the excellent... More

The staff at St Johns House pulled out all the stops to make my Dad's wedding absolutely amazing. The food, the service, the rooms and the overall experience were absolutely top notch! The food was excellent, with high quality classical food for the main meal, but some innovative and delicious canapés for the cocktail hour. The room we stayed in... More

We finally arrived in Lichfield after having been messed about by the train company, so very ready to relax in our accomodation in this lovely 17th C B&B. When we tried to check in, the receptionist said we were in a first floor room, but I had booked a ground floor garden room, as shown on the website. She insisted... More

This is not a hotel, but a B&B with a difference and in many respects better than a hotel. The owners have taken a B&B to a higher level, with the owners attention to detail and creative flare. We attended for a private birthday function and stayed overnight in a room which is not your ordinary, typical, run of the... More

Well we arrived in Lichfield ready to stay in this hotel to find out that we had accidentally booked a different one with the same name! Other people seemed to make this mistake too so be careful when booking through other channels like booking.com! After waiting for hotel staff to welcome us in the lovely manager helped us out, offered... More
