A cheaper alternative to The Swan, the Vine is a Marston's pub with rooms in what might have been the old mews in years gone by. The room was ok - very comfy bed, slightly dated bathroom, but all good for an overnight stay. Evening meal was passable - cheap pub food that filled a hole. Breakfast left a bit...

When we arrived we were greeted by a really nice lady on reception who told us how to get into the car park (there is not a sign telling you to simply drive up to the barrier and it will lift to allow you to enter) and who also checked us into our room and gave us all the relevant...

Staff were lovely and the food was quick and delicious. However, when we went to leave the waitress didn't even give us the bill, she totally forgot. We also waited 15 minutes for a table despite booking in advance.

Working near Stafford the Vine was chosen because it was in the centre and seemed to be convenient for places to eat if it's own restaurant proved not to be attractive. We had two single rooms with en suite facilities and we have certainly had better value rooms during our business travels. The rooms were clean and had reasonable facilities...

Great team.very friendly staff, exceptionally accommodating. Working within limits out of their control, they made our trip painless. Parking is limited to first come first served which makes it a challenge, but we managed successfully. We stayed for Ironman Staffordshire. They even went to the trouble to have breakfast ready for us on our stupid o clock start. (03:30)

Saved from a two star rating by its pleasant and helpful staff, but really needs a good shake-up. The general areas look as if they have not been updated in many years. Breakfast was very poor. Limited choice, and not good quality food. Outside smoking area smelled really bad early morning.

This place is a little gem in the heart of stafford. Everything is on your doorstep. I was travelling alone and was surprised how big my single room was. I had plenty of room to move around the room easily. It had everything in the room you need, a TV on the wall, a kettle, a hairdryer and also not...

Rooms ok, excellent location for town centre. Small car park but friendly staff. Wouldn't rave too much about it but it served the purpose of a hen party. Breakfast was tasty.... Nice looking little pub. Watch your head if you're tall!!!!!!

Its a classic old hotel, still its clean enough but with a short staff problems tend to be solved in a long time, like the fire alarm ringing for hours, the breakfast was very good and the short staff very kind
