We had a lovely 3 night break staying here, the staff were very friendly The hotel is clean but the furniture in the bedroom let it down abit, the bedside tables are badly marked, having said that we would stay again. The shower was excellent one of the nicest showers we have used, the bed was a little firm but that is just personal choice although it didnt stop us from having excellent sleep. The location for us was great and so was the price would happily return and recommend
We have had a great time staying at the weathervane in Stoke and the staff are amazing and always on hand to help and pleasure to help the staff member Jess.l she is so kind and helpful .would recommend ppl to stay here great food and perfect few nights getaway xx
Last min lunch date with family. Arrived and were greated by lovely smiley, positive happy staff. I believe Brett was the managers name, he was more than helpful and polite. We ordered our food and drinks and were being served our fresh hot meals withing 20 mins or so. All food was outstanding, fab value for money and plentiful. Cant comment on desserts as we were all too full to try one 🤣 I was really impressed with the efficiency of the team. Overall a lovely , clean place suitable for families with really nice staff.
We had our Xmas party last night, we had a fabulous night, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all friendly and made our night an enjoyable one. A really good choice of menu and great service. Thankyou Terri and team !
We had our works Christmas meal here. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all friendly and efficient. The food was hot and bought out promptly given that there was a large group of us. Great service. Thank you the Weathervane team !
The second I stepped in the building I knew we’d made an error in booking this establishment. ‘Reception’ was dead and the stench of ‘old man’ was unbearable. When we finally got our key we entered the mould-ridden room. The carpet was stained with bleach which makes me wonder what on earth went on in here before us. The bathroom door got stuck and my friend was stuck for 45mins probably poisoning herself from the damp. I was absolute terrified when I looked in the toilet to find bizarre brown stains and even more terrified when I saw the wet curtains. I can now safely say I have ‘post traumatic weathervane disorder’. We were staying here for an Alton towers trip and let me tell you this was 1000 times more scary than any of the rides there.
on first arriving in the room, the appearance of mould was particularly blatant. the bathroom skirting was peeling away from the wall like an orange fruit. The bath contained what can only be described as a wig’s worth of pubic hair. The curtains by the window were riddled with mould which was deeply upsetting- surely a health hazard too? When the TV was initially turned on, the volume was set to maximum- startling us severely. My final comment regards the level of noise that traveled between bathrooms in the building, as the noise from the person beside us was frankly traumatising. We have left our time at this hotel with feelings of immense discomfort.
The burger was so tasty, I feel like I transcended this plain of existence and for a brief moment fully comprehended the entire universe and all of its contents. I will certainly be returning and hope that it's just as revelatory next time.
2nd time stopping here and once again the stay was brilliant, the rates are cheap the rooms are clean and beds always made up. The staff here are so polite and accommodating. The pub / Restaurant linked to the hotel is great, we told the manager on shift about the food problems from the time before and I must say the food we had this time round was marvelous, fresh tasty and filling. The staff in the restaurant from management to floor staff are so friendly. If ratings could be altered at the touch of a button I would reward this place overall a higher star rating as it surely deserves it. Thanks from all of us in the Collins Clan we will be back in December for Lightopia.
Very friendly helpful staff and the food offers are good value, pub classics two for £11.49 Monday to Fiday bargain. I cant get fish, chips, and peas at my local chippy for that price. Fast service and nice pub.
