Greeted on arrival by very pleasant staff and shown immediate to our table. We (party of three) were extremely well looked after by Parker who was very attentive throughout. Great service and great food for a very reasonable price. Food could have been a little hotter when it arrived at the table but this certainly did not spoil the afternoon. All in all a very good experience . We will return

My fiancé booked us a romantic meal as a surprise. We were greeted & seated right away and our drinks order served quickly. Our meals arrived in good time, well presented & hot, with one meal from the main menu and one from the specials. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly, and we were never waiting too long for our drinks to be topped up. A dessert shared between the two of us was big enough for us, and was also very tasty. The restaurant itself is lovely; well decorated, warm and airy. We will definitely be coming back again.

A group of us go here most Thursday mornings after exercise class, for coffee etc. I must say the staff are most attentive, making sure that all our needs are met. We do love the complimentary cookies that come with the coffee. I must make special mention of one staff member who is particularly attentive and caring of our group, thank you Dee you do make our Thursdays enjoyable.

Recently visited for dinner and was well impressed. Food and service was excellent. There was a massive improvement since my last visit. Every where was clean and tidy and the signs were obvious that the business was under new management. Please keep up the good work in a pub steeped in history..well done.

Boxing Day menu, £32 per person and mouldy off vegetables, absolutely disgusting!! Waitress offered more mouldy veg but strangely wasn’t very appealing 🤦‍♂️ Had to be the worst value for money meal I’ve ever had and was frankly Astonished that No management offered any explanation or solution??

Highly recommend Breakfast with Santa at the D&P. Santa, Mrs Claus and all their elves went out of their way to make it a truly magical experience for all the little ones. There were lots of Christmas craft activities and the food was pretty yummy too! Thanks to all involved x
