My husband and I spent 8 nights at Stockton Arms and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality along with the quality of our room and amenities. Andy, Jane and David took very good care of us. We will be back!

We stayed one night in the Stockton Arms to visit a friend in the town. Our welcome was warm, friendly and very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with lots of details well thought through. Downstairs the pub has a good atmosphere. I'd certainly recommend this as a good place to stay.

Met by Dave behind the bar, took us to the room & showed us where we ate breakfast. The room we had was a good size & exceptionally clean. Plenty of draws & hanging space, if we had stayed in a 5* hotel we would not have got any better facilities. Although the breakfast was continental you couldn't have wished...

Had the opportunity to catch up with long lost family members on my way to Scotland and Stockton on Tees was the most central place to meet. Booked in here and did not expect to have such a nice, well appointed room. The room was large with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits and chocolate bars! There were bathrobes...

I was in town for a conference, and didn't want to stay at one of the suggested chain hotels. I was greeted by the very warm, welcoming owner's son (not to mention handsome!) and given clear instructions about everything. I stayed in Room 2 which was spacious and lovely. My only two gripes would be that for a "Bed and...

I stayed a single night, and booked via booking.com Payment is upon arrival, and then your done. Room was very nice and they provide a continental breakfast room which was very well stocked, and anywhere which provided Marmite is a great place! The Masham pub round the corner is certainly worth a visit.

We have been going to the Stockton Arms for around 11 years. Unfortunately we have witnessed a decline over the years. It used to be a lovely, friendly family pub that sold good food. In the last three to four years the food / kitchen stopped and a 'pool room' was added. The original 9pm watershed for kids was reduced...

Went for Friday evening drinks - served quickly - efficient if impersonal bar staff, good beer and crisps/nuts, good outside decked and covered seating area with TV and more TV's inside so could watch Olympics - Smart decor and clean and well patronised so good buzz above TV's.

We had one night in room 2 at the Stockton Arms, and it was great. To the point we both said it was the best night's sleep we'd had in months! I hadn't quite twigged this was above a pub, but for what we needed it was fine, and the team in the bar downstairs were great and helpful at...
