Staff were pleasant enough , breakfast was nice . Bed wasn't very comfortable, door slammed every 2 minutes under our room and made floor shake told staff and hour after being there. No offer to move room or get resolved! We were told we could get into hotel after hours with our key! To find out at 2.30am it didn't... More

Beautiful surroundings. Hotel warm and cosy. Food excellent especially the steak and Sea Bass. Would return again, perhaps not to stay in the Mews 6 (which was a winding staircase to our room - cheaper), but to stay in the main hotel. Loved to see the animals chickens, goats, ponies and geese

Stayed in the Saxon Room for two nights over the weekend of the Bury St Edmunds Xmas Fare. The room was lovely. 4 poster bed lovely bathroom. Had evening meal on the first night which was very good indeed. The hotel had a lovely relaxed feel to it. Service and staff were excellent. Taxi in to Bury was only £7.... More

We booked one night dinner, bed and breakfast, through Secret Escapes. We had two rooms and paid an extra £25 each room to be upgraded to stay in the main house. I have to say, when we first arrived, it was cold and getting dark, and the hotel didn't look very welcoming. We were shown to our rooms, which were... More

Had a surprise birthday treat booked here by my husband. When we arrived it was a cold wet November day but inside the hall was lovely, warm & welcoming with comfortable furnishings which could be summed up by the new buzz word 'hygge' for 'cosiness'. Our room was warm & inviting with a teddy bear waiting in a chair which... More

Just back from a fabulous weekend at Ravenwood hall. The food was amazing and very plentiful. The wine list is extensive and the wines we tried were excellent. The hall is old and full of character with slopping floors and very few 90 degree angles. The staff were first class and remembered your names. They made our stay very enjoyable.... More

We arrived here on a cold November day and were warmly welcomed and although we had booked a room in the mews, we were upgraded to a beautiful room in the main house. We had a really enjoyable stay.......friendly staff and fantastic food......we would absolutely recommend this delightful hotel.

We had a night's D.B.B.here.The room was spacious with a huge bed ,nice bathroom and lovely views. The breakfast was scrummy, fresh porridge served plain and unadulterated, excellent,a good full English and a delicious whole killer. The coffee was drinkable and the service friendly. We enjoyed our stay here, although it was marred by a pretty indifferent dinner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this delightful hotel. Staff were most accommodating. Rooms were exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Also worthy of note was the delicious breakfast which made a fitting conclusion to a fantastic stay. Many thanks and looking forward to our next stay.

From start to finish we had a wonderful time at the Ravenwood Hotel. The young lady who took our reservation for afternoon tea was very helpful and professional. On arrival we were warmly greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our table in the lounge. Very cosy atmosphere and lovely decor. We ordered our drinks (tea) which arrived... More
