Great little period hotel with super food and very comfortable rooms. Varied menu. Cheese board was fantastic and the chef was particularly helpful phoning round local producers so that we could purchase some on way home. Highly recommended.

The first thing to say is that the hotel is situated in a stunning rural setting within easy driving distance of the charming town of Bury St Edmunds. The building is said to date from the 1530s and the hotel provides the visitor with various accounts of its origins, some credible and some rather more speculative! The current owner, who...

Very accomodating despite our delayed arrival at nearly 1am. The room was beautifully appointed, just a shame we had to leave so early. The breakfast team were very attentive and the cooked breakfast lived up to expectations! A flying visit this time, but we'll be sure to stay longer next time!

My wife and I travelled from Gloucester to Suffolk. We stayed at Ravenwood Hall. The service was friendly and very good. We were made to feel welcome . The food was really excellent, the Chef is one of the best. The room was comfortable. The grounds are lovely. Our stay was only one night. But we hope to visit again....

Another lovely meal at Ravenwood. Sunday evening, table for 6. A warm welcome, good hospitality, lovely food from start to finish. Strongly recommend this restaurant, Ben coming for 23 years and cannot remember a poor meal or experience. Thank you everyone

We were given an Afternoon Tea as a Wedding present - an unusual idea and it was great fun The Ravenwood people were preparing for a Reception with Marquees and sound systems being placed when we went - despite that disruption, they managed to give us an excellent time It probably helped that the Sun had put in an appearance...

We have dined at Ravenwood on many occasions so we were very happy to have been given vouchers, for the 6 course tasting menu, by our lovely family. We decided to add an overnight stay to make it an extra special treat. We stayed in the hall and our room was full of character and extremely comfortable. The evening meal...

We had a birthday lunch here for my Aunt's 85. From the moment we arrived it felt like it would be a good day. We were greeted by the owner, who was on hand and attentive throughout our visit. All the staff were really helpful, friendly and dealt with all our needs. We had 24 guests and all were served...

We booked this hotel to be close to Bury for a funeral and were not expecting such an unusual and outstanding stop over. The hotel is in a delightful location although the main roads are very close.
