An interesting overnight stay at this Wolesley Lodge member property. West Stow Hall is a Tudor built property from 1520 and is very interesting. The room was large and very comfortable and in the lounge was the largest inglenook fire place we have ever seen with the heat that could be felt from next door! The lady of the house,...

We were on a walking holiday and booked a stop over at West Stow Hall on the first night of our journey. I don't think I have been to a more splendid place than this. Bedrooms are huge and luxurious and the on suite bathrooms took care of all our aches and pains. The real stars are Eileen and Andy...

Had a really wonderful stay in gardener's cottage at West stow Hall with our dogs. Very dog friendly, well equipped and cosy cottage. The owners Eileen and Andrew were great hosts and very helpful. Nice enclosed garden with beautiful views and grounds. Excellent dog walking virtually no your doorstep.

We stayed here as a family to attend a wedding. Elaine was so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. The property dates from the early 16th century and has been carefully restored and preserved. We had a lovely room in the main building and a self contained studio. The lounge and dining rooms are beautiful and exude character and history. We were...

We have just spent a week in Gardener's Cottage in the grounds of West Stow Hall. Peace and quiet, great scenery, lots of wildlife, and best of all West Stow Hall, a unique Tudor residence, full of history and atmosphere, and now owned by Eileen and Andrew, the perfect hosts. The self-catering cottage is warm, spacious and very well equipped.Flooded...

All you read here is so true, deep warmth, generosity, and hospitality, beautiful rooms, all you need to feel special, and proof why Wolsey Lodges are an antidote to anywhere not run by the owners, and not run with heart. West Stow Hall reminds you why it is good to savour all that matters. Abandon tapping and scrolling, switch off...

We chose to stay in The studio for a few nights, and we wish we could continue our stay here for a longer time. In the middle of nowhere, this is truly a unique stay in Suffolk. The West Stow Hall is a 16th century B&b and it has been so well maintained, thanks to Eileen and her husband, they...

An amazing self catering cottage with the grounds of an grand old hall. The gardens are truly wonderful for a relatively small place. We would go back in a heart beat and the hosts are wonderful people. Eileen could not have done more for us and so very helpful and welcoming. However they were not intrusive and left us to...

A Tudor house beautifully renovated at various times over the last two hundred years or so. The house is now a perfect B & B whose owners are excellent hosts. The breakfasts are sumptuous and our room large and bed comfortable. The property is situated in attractive grounds. An ideal location for a relaxing and tranquil break.

Where to begin... We spent 2 nights in mid May in The Studio and did not want to come home! A perfect rural retreat, such a cosy bijou flat with lovely home touches such as blankets and home made cakes on arrival and not forgetting the lovely friendly Border Collie dog. Breakfast in a stunning mediaeval ambience couldn't have been...
