Central but quiet. Excellent car parking very close, all town attractions especially Cathedral and Abbey gardens a 5 minute pleasant walk.would recommend as newer imposing hotel in prime position. Our 4th stay.

We stayed over night after me having an operation at BMI hospital around the corner. This is BY FAR the best Premier Inn we’ve stayed in and we’ve been to a LOT of PI all overt the country! They allowed my wife and daughter to check in and get settled shortly after 10am at no extra charge otherwise they would have had nowhere else to go while I was in for my Surgery. The receptionist helped my wife and daughter up to our room which wouldn’t normally happen at any other premier inn. The building was absolutely amazing and quiet and the same receptionist asked my wife how I was feeling after my operation. We can’t thank the hotel enough for not only a very clean room but also for the level of customer service. WITHOUT A DOUBT we will be coming back to this hotel once I’m fully recovered from my operation to have couple of days out around the lovely town of Bury St Edmunds and check out the history of the town! 5 star quality service from check in to check out! I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to friends, family and strangers hoping to get away in this lovely town! 5 stars from beginning to end!

A comfy hotel following COVID guidance. 3 of the 4 evening staff we met were incredibly friendly and talkative (i think the other one was having a bad day!). In particular, Spencer made us feel extremely welcome in the bar. He was polite, friendly, professional and efficient. It was noticeable how liked and appreciated he was by other visitors too. Thank you Spencer you made our trip memorable in a good way!

We had no body wash/shamppo in our room for the entirety of our 3 night stay, despite asking twice. In the end, we went out and bought our own. The bathroom was not spotlessly clean (toenail on floor). Staff friendly and lovely, but not very helpful as nothing was done to rectify our request.

It was the second time I had stayed in this hotel first time before covid it was a great stay this time rooms not clean to high standard the staff were not helpful especially at breakfast time having to ask can I have more butter etc as the pots were not filled up on the tables also being told the standard isn’t as good as they are busy due to people not going abroad. Food not available due to suppliers it was a lot of money and I don’t think it was worth it the bed creaked when I moved and I had a bad back after staying two nights I will not recommend to anyone. The food did taste ok even if we had to wait for clean cutlery more sauce etc not making it a pleasurable breakfast experience. I hope they get there act together soon.
