We decided on a short break of 3 nights somewhere in East Anglia. This place popped up and we went for it. It was perfect. Our only problem was we were too warm at night! But easy to solve; we opened the windows! The village itself is well worth seeing and the places to eat at are fantastic. It was...

We found the owners charming, clearly wanting us to enjoy staying in their beautiful home. They were there if we needed us but happy for us to just relax and enjoy our weekend. The Priory was simply stunning, warm and comfortable. The Great Hall took my breath away as did the Priory Suite which was very suitable for us as it...

The Lavenham Priory really is a lovely building in a lovely setting. We arrived early and were made to feel very welcome. First niggle was not being able to lock our bedroom which meant having to bring our valuables with us at all times. We made use of the honesty bar which is a nice idea. Our room was lovely...

A wonderful taste of history with charming and unobtrusive hosts. Delicious breakfasts in delightful dining room. Priory well situated for exploring Lavenham. Quite expensive but superior accommodation.

Having read other reviews I must say we found the owners and their staff very friendly, we were asked to lock the door when leaving and after entering and place our key on a tray so they knew we were in. One thing I was not very happy with was the door to the room could not be locked when...

Our stay at Lavenham Priory was a most memorable one. We were welcomed by the hostess who explained everything in good detail and made us feel very much at home. We had the use of two lounges, one with a large fire place and a smaller one with a great section of books. My husband and I stayed in the...

A beautiful charateristic building and should be a perfect location for a romantic getaway, but was let down by the lack of customer service and hospitality. The Priory is a lovely building, very picturesque. The room was lovely, four poster bed and modern bathroom. However, like others previous comments, we both nearly slipped over on a non-slip rug in the...

What you're paying for here is the quaint factor, not the service or functionality of the place. The lady owner clearly doesn't want to be running a hotel and keeps locking the doors, claiming that people walk in off the street (the entrance is through a car park, round the back, through a narrow gap and down the garden, so...

Spent one night here. A beautiful building, like stepping into history. Felt at home straight away, very relaxing, liked the honesty bar. Sat in the large but cosy lounge with a large glass of wine reading the numerous books and magazines. A great place to unwind. Unfortunately it rained so did not have a chance to walk the gardens. Hoping...

An amazing building, absolutely stunning, everything you could possibly hope for if you like very, very old buildings. Not somewhere if you're OCD about right-angles and level floors! We stayed in the painted chamber and it was stunning with a huge bed and very smart bathroom. it's a B&B not a hotel, so it does feel a bit like staying...
