TOR is a stunning modern renovation of, well, an Old Rectory but it is all done in a subtle elegant tasteful style - more John Lewis than House and Garden There is ample space in the rooms (we stayed in the blue room) and in some the garden view is great More pleasant traditional breakfast in a clean clean clean spacious breakfast room with special service and yummy eggs courtesy of their own hens! To note - Campsea Ashe is a peaceful hamlet with some great walking but not much else although the train station and a pub are nearby - Orford and Aldeburgh are a short drive away - you are based in some of the best countryside ever

Great accommodation, and welcoming host. Breakfast was served in a delightful room. The menu was mainly fruit and traditional English Breakfast. Quietly situated in a small village near to Woodbridge. Would recommend for a peaceful stay, close to Snape Maltings, Thorpeness.

We went here for a visit to Suffolk last summer, it's a great find. We wouldn't normally pay this much (£110) although it was a great experience with tea and cake on the patio when we arrived. Our room overlooked the churchyard so very peaceful. There was no TV in the room which made the occasion all the more special, like being back in the 19th Century! Excellent breakfast, all freshly prepared. I'm sure we will return.

I stayed here with my family for my wedding. My now husband stayed with his best man and ushers the night before and then I joined him with my family the night after. I cannot fault the excellent attention to detail, beautiful scenery and stunning cleanliness! All of the rooms were stunning. The breakfast was delicious and the staff could not do enough to help you. I would 100% recommend this stunning hotel!

We had the whole of The Old Rectory for 14 family members for the weekend to celebrate my 50th and my daughter's 18th!! The house is amazing. Bedrooms comfortable and beautifully decorated. Gardens are georgeous. Feels like a home from home and was great to have our breakfasts and one evening meal all together in the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble and I can't imagine anywhere being better for such a weekend. Thank you The Old Rectory and everyone who looked after us for our special weekend.
