We stayed here to attend our daughters graduation and to spend a few days visiting the sites. Sheets weren't changed at all the five nights we stayed ,we were wakened on both Friday and Saturday night from about 3 in the morning with races and a party like theme up and down the corridor with some very strong language used... Bedrooms are old and run down. The decorations is okay except the horrific carpets. Food is okay, soup is always boiling hot to the point I had to put ice cubes in to try cool it. I think it's microwaved. Took over 30 minutes and steam was still coming of it. I complained to waitress who said they often get... More

Overall this is a nice place to stay. The room that I stayed in was clean but very cold. The heating was not working and could not make it work. The decor is very artex along with the difficult bubble TV. You need to work that out how to get it to work as it has a freeview box attached... More

A lovely and friendly clean hotel. There is a car park at the rear so park the car as the metro is a 5/10 minute walk. £2.80 (Adult) for a rover ticket within Zone A. Basically from the hotel and all the town centre Haymarket and Monument. We were there for an evening event at City Hall. The rover ticket... More

4 of us stayed here for one night with two twin rooms on the second floor either side of the corridor. The reception area was very smart but the lift must be the smallest hotel lift I have ever seen.Takes 2 people as long as they have no luggage!! My wife and I had the room overlooking the car park... My wife and I stayed at the Caledonia Hotel last weekend for a visit to Newcastle to watch the football and go to a concert. The hotel is in a nice area of town, the city centre is walkable in about twenty minutes but there were plenty of taxi's if you can't be bothered walking. We had a room on... More

This hotel offers excellent value. It is located in the centre of Jesmond village close to all the amenities, especially West Jesmond Metro station. The hotel room is comfortable and clean. Check on and out was very quick. Great stay. Thanks

I can honestly say I was gutted when the company we booked with changed the hotel due to numbers dropping. I was pleasantly surprised to sat the least. What a fabulous hotel. In the heart of a buzzing upcoming town. Breakfast standard buffet style so can't go wrong. Staff friendly enough and can't do enough for you. All in all... More

I find it difficult to fault this hotel,if I had to it would be that the bedroom was very dated, The location was ideal, the staff very friendly and helpful . I was with a walking party, and a packed lunch was provided..not that it was required after a hearty buffet breakfast!m I would revisit this hotel without hesitating. Pauline
