Not a great hotel especially if booked via booking.com. If you do you get the carlton hotel nearby. They say one minute walk which for usain bolt im sure it is. It a couple of mins on opposite side of road. I imagine this is a great hotel if you just looking to crash for the night but if you are families or older people dont book Pros Nice staff at breakfast and nice environ in main hotel Cleaning staff polite and friendly Bathrooms are modern, well designed and clean Rooms generally clean and well kept Tea and coffee provided Mini fridge in room which is empty (for all those party beers - i did warn you!!) Well located in city Bus stop outside Nice comp toiletries Waitrose opposite Cons If you run out of anything they leave it outside and someone will likely take them Unmanned reception in carlton Dated corridors with a hostel vibe Bars below although they do shut on time Tiny windows on top floor No lift and no offer of assistance with bags Lipstick mark on my duvet Pillows seen better days No bathmat and slippy floors so used hand towel Noisy guest fairly guaranteed fridays and saturdays Hot rooms needed plug in fan even in october and still hot Fan setting knob broken off Uncomfy beds Only coffee cups no glasses for water in room All together not the worst hotel but def not for us. Wouldnt go there again No idea what main cairn hotel rooms are like but carlton side for party crowd only id say

Stayed here last night and all I can say is possibly the worst night away we have ever had! Hotel was full of a film crew who spent the whole night from 1am until 7am drinking crying, banging doors shouting and smoking cannabis. Hotel staff informed and nothing was done to rectify it. My advice is do not waste your money!!!

Excellent location. Free parking available and easy check in. Good deal on room we paid extra to upgrade but I don’t think it upgraded as we had no bath, bottles of water or biscuits as it said. Room was cold and couldn’t figure out how to put heat on. Hairs on walls in bathroom and had to sit on toilet side ways due to it being so tight to the towel radiator. Decent check out time of 11am would stay again especially for the price

booked a superior king room which was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bed was really comfy. we stayed on the first floor and i think we were directly above their sohe restaurant, as we could hear loud music from the afternoon til about 12am - not too much of an issue as we were out of the hotel most of the time but it was quite irritating when we were trying to relax. i would suggest that if booking here ask for a room on the second floor especially if wanting a relaxing stay or spending a lot of the time in the hotel. breakfast was good

So I booked the cairn hotel through booking.com after reading good reviews. On arrival we are told that we are actually I there other hotel across the street called the carlton. There are no pictures of this hotel probably because its more like a hostel. Me and 2 kids were staying and at 3am were woken by groups of lads coming in from nights out. The went on until 4qm shouting and screaming I reported it but took ages to get sorted then another group came I doing the same. Not what I expected at all
