A basic, clean and functional place to stay before the Great North Run. It's close to the race start and the city centre. I wouldn't stay here if I were on a city break to Newcastle as it takes 'no frills' to the Nth degree (not even hand soap provided!) but as somewhere to crash - that doesn't insist on...

In my final year of study, I'm living in Victoria halls with a few people I was placed with. They constantly leave the kitchen in a mess, therefore makes it impossible to use because of the vile mess and smell they leave. I approached reception and they said there was nothing they could do. I have tried leaving a notes...

I booked a room at the above with Nirvana to compete in the GNR the day after, On arrival they couldn't find our room key despite our names being on the list, eventually we settled in and all seemed well until we pulled back the covers to go to bed and found the bottom sheet had blood stains on it....

Just stayed here for one night pre-Great North Run. I had some reservations as it's student accommodation other then during the summer, and students aren't known for their cleanliness. However it was to a pretty good standard of clean unless you wanted to start inspecting all the nooks and crannies. A small single bed with basic quilt bedding which seemed...

Do not waste your time or money staying in this place, the staff are unprofessional and what they say they will do is the opposite of what they do. The walls are so thin you may as well be staying with the people all around you in the same room. I have had to stay here as a mature student...

Stayed here as a mature student briefly. Whilst it was reasonably close to the uni, the walls were so thin that I could here conversations from three rooms away. The manager I complained to couldn't have been less understanding and was obnoxious and obsequious. Halls were filthy and for this and the other reasons I cannot say it was anything...

Very clean, good location for great north run! Mattress not very comfy but that's the only issue!! Not the same as a hotel, as no amenities in room or TV, but lounge and shared kitchen were well equipped! Would ha e been good to receive washing up liquid!

I was looking for a double bedroom self-contained flat in Cardiff for the weekend and bank holiday, and found few at almost the same price. As it is university accommodation, I booked it. Their booking system is not good, booking application form had wrong information, so I had to ask them. The room was good, kitchen was good. But I...

We were lucky to find a room here for the night of the Springsteen concert. Paid £70 which would be a lot on a normal night but basic hotel rooms were going for £200+ so this was good value and about 20 mins walk from the stadium.. The room was basic but clean. The window hardly opened and the atmosphere...

My son is staying here and is getting no sleep. So noisy and not able to open the windows due to the smoking outside and noise and attitude of other users. Not good. If you have another choice I would take it.

“If you want calm or good room, choose family flat which is double occupancy en-suite, and it costs only £10 more than the single occupancy room. It is not near the road side, so you will get sound sleep.”
