I booked what I thought was a double room but it turned out to be a room with 2 lots of bunk beds which wasn't what i expected, but not too bad. The original room we were given was dull, grey and not very clean carpet so we requested to upgrade the room for £3 per person, this new room...

Myself & 4 friends stayed in Newcastle for 3 days. The hostel is clean, well run and has a bar downstairs which is great. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and everything (Bars, Clubs, St. James Park etc) is within 10 mins walking distance.

This hostel was clean, central and cheap. We were staying for one night so it offered somewhere to "crash" without breaking the bank. Service was fine, what you would expect for the price. Bedding and towels were clean and comfortable. We personally didn't see any security staff and had no issues at all when returning from our night out (noticed...

Hi rebeccagc Thanks for your comments after your recent stay. Overall I was pleased with your feedback but disappointed to note your comments on the BOOM! upgrade. I've got to stress at no point do we advertised a standard double bed. There are no double rooms as such in Euro Hostel Newcastle; all rooms contain bunk bed frames though the...

The hostel is in a great location, handy for the centre, the reception was quick and easy, the staff were friendly and the hostel room provided clean towels. However, we found a used salad fork in the bottom bunk and the room had no windows so it was unpleasantly hot and stuffy. So alright overall...what we expected from a hostel...

Hi James W Thanks very much for your feedback after your recent stay with Euro Hostel Newcastle. I was pleased to read your comments apart from the discovery of the fork. Please accept my apologies on behalf of everyone here. I hope this will not discourage you from staying in the future. Thanks again for your comments

Overall good value for money in my opinion. Location is great. It felt more like a simple, worn out hotel and a hostel. I booked a single room and got a family room (with bunk beds) with a "capsule" bathroom and tv, all for myself. The room was clean, apart from the carpet which is old and stained, so make...

Beds were very uncomfortable and rooms were far to warm, the rooms smelt mouldy and the corridors smelled like toilets and the carpets were sending and had and disgusting, Bathrooms were the same size as aero plane toilets in terms of space and there was ingrain dirt around taps. The windows are very dangerous and when we stayed the fire...

Girls weekend away, very reasonably priced for what you get. We got fresh towels in the morning, bins emptied. 2 showers and 2 toilets in our 8 bed room. Close to the city centre, everything is a 5/10 minute walk away. However, the night staff are a different story. We came back to our room after being out and we...

We were on a school trip with 50 teenagers... and that can be tough sometimes, but that was not at all the case thanks to the very nice staff, the very nice place really well located in Newcastle, very clean and comfortable. Such simple, good and fresh food when we came back starving in the evening. Thank you Tony.

I called in to book the hotel a night before and they said that they have reserved a room for 7 of us at £245 pounds the amount it was showing on Booking.com. But the next day when I called they asked us to pay £400 pounds. A shame on the reception. Trying to loot the people.

Travelled with a group of 16. We stayed in 2 rooms. Three of us stayed in a 4 bed room on the first floor. It was small enough and fairly basic but that's all we were really looking for. Only real complaint I'd have is the lack of plugs in the room, there was only 2 for the three of...
