We just went for lunch. The pub was very busy at lunchtime we had the pensioner deal for £5.95. Big portion of Gammon and chips and salad and the steak and kidney pie with mash and fresh vegetables was delicious Staff were very friendly. Didn't have to wait long for food. Would recommend booking if going at lunchtime.

Stayed here whilst visiting friends in the area. Rooms are small cramped and the bathrooms are basically a cupboard with a small shower cubicle, w/c and hand wash basin. Central heating never worked , but they had placed a electric heater to compensate. Rooms are clean and the food and beer in the bar are okay. Went down for breakfast...

I was almost dreading this from the reviews. but if you stay at an old pub, you expect noise, small rooms and rickety floors. I got a good deal for the room as a last-minute booking, and it was not quiz night - so it was quiet The room was small, the bed was soft, but it was warm and comfy...

Have eaten many times in this pub. The quality of the food is always good but over recent months the standard of service and politeness of the staff has deteriorated. Today we had booked for a party of 20 for 12.30. We were not welcomed and not served with our meals until 1.20. The food was good, hot & plentiful....

Just back from Sunday lunch at The Cottage in Kenilworth. Everything was great. Service, food and ambience (the Christmas decorations were lovely). Food was piping hot, a very generous portion, and did not have to wait long either. There were 5 in our party. We all had Roast Turkey and all the trimmings. Even had room for a pudding. My...

Cosy old place with friendly staff. Bed very soft and wobbly and the room was rather small but fine for the two nights we stayed. Food was very pleasant, and due to electrical problems within the building that disturbed our stay we were not charged for our evening meal, which I felt was a generous gesture. Would go back again...

I spent one night here and couldn't wait to leave. The room was so overpriced for what you get. A cramped, worn and dreary room, the shower is literally in a cupboard in the bedroom, there was 1 bar of tiny soap for 2 guests, grubby looking kettle, zero sound proofing, unpleasant smells from the kitchen wafting up the stairs,...

The Cottage Inn is a somewhat old fashioned pub. It has escaped the brewery designers and makeover teams and is perhaps none the worse for that. It certainly lacks the minimalist, industrial style that infects so many of our once cosy, and welcoming pubs. Whoever decided that a floppy sofa or sagging Chesterfield was a great place to sit to...

I love Sunday lunch. While I normally prefer a carvery, this one was more or less exactly what I wanted. We reserved a table beforehand. The service was good. The food was exactly what I like. Plenty of tender beef, and plenty of veg, etc. I've also had another nice meal there recently. It's not anything especially fancy, but I...

Remember to go to the bar to order your food and in a short while you will be presented with the biggest portion of dinner ever! And isn't it tasty!! We went for Sunday Lunch of Roast Beef and it was excellent. The old fashioned puddings (I had apple pie and custard and one of my companions had syrup sponge...
