My room on the first floor was quite big and spacious. However, there was noticeable noise from the traffic on the road outside. The room needed a bit of attention - the liquid soaps over the sink and the shower were empty. There was a sharp screw sticking up out of the floor in the bathroom. Also for a big room, the wall mounted TV was tiny. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Comfortable - basic but clean and unlike other Travel Lodges where staff don’t want to be there Really helpful staff! Free parking too! Breakfast good - cheap and hot what else could you need or expect at this price? Short walk into town - Great thank you
Best Travelodge/budget hotel i have stayed in. Room was basic as expected but clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was good - very happy with the scrambled eggs! Location was useful with plenty of parking and good access to Stratford and surrounds.
The price was reasonable. Rooms were clean and the breakfast, whilst extra, was good quality. The staff were cheerful and helpful. There was ample parking spaces. Not too far from the town centre although we drove I. And out a taxi would have been only a few pounds.
I'll start with the positive - the room was spacious and clean. I think that's where the positives end. To say this hotel is basic is an understatement. Beds, a desk and a chair in the room were all functional but mattresses were very firm and uncomfortable. Kids beds were tiny. My 13 year old had his feet hanging off the end. No towels, one toilet roll, no bath mat, no toothbrush glass or holder, no bedside table, no hairdryer, and lack of plugs. Our room was far too hot, even in October, and the road outside was too noisy to have the window open. The TV was tiny and turned itself on each morning at 7am and was blaring so woke everyone up! Staff were friendly and did give us towels and toilet roll when we asked, but you really shouldn't have to ask for those basics! Breakfast was fine but the bar area is like a canteen and not very welcoming or comfortable. If I had paid £40-50 like some of the comments here suggest others have paid, I would have been ok but I paid £325 for 3 nights. Not good value for money and not a comfortable stay. In fact three very sleepless and uncomfortable nights. Sadly, it has put me off using Travelodge again and we travel a lot for sports competitions. Come on Travelodge, I am sure you can do better!…
