A grey weekend in January but a sunny reception and warm welcome received from the team at the Arden. We love the hotel for its charm, location, literary connections, and authenticity. Looking forward to our return visit soon.

I rang the Arden Hotel to see if I could afternoon tea for a group of ten friends. They said we could have a separate room with a view for the occasion. We had the party today, the room was beautiful and the view lovely. The staff could not have been any more helpful, the service was excellent. The tea...

The best hotel nowadays in Stratford by some distance - we really like this place. We’ve stayed overnight in the past but sometimes just call in for Sunday lunch. I especially enjoy the once a month jazz. A meal in congenial company with the music of Dave Brubeck et al. in the background is one of the more civilised ways...

Booked a mini break through Travel Zoo for me and my other half before our second daughter due. Completely looked after as soon as we parked on the carpark. Enjoyed a 3 course meal in the restaurant...food and service amazing. Can't wait for Breakfast in the morning. Definitely be back again. 😀

We recently stayed at the Arden hotel for their 3 day Christmas break. An excellent hotel in the most perfect location. The rooms are large and comfortable with a great bathroom. Excellent food and friendly staff. The only criticism was the lack of entertainment. There was a quiz on Christmas Day which was a bit of a disaster. But don't...

In a group of six we have taken the New Year package at the Arden for three years now. This is a recommendation in itself I guess. We arrived before 4 pm on New Years Eve and left about midday on New Years Day. The package (£200 p.person) includes an overnight stay and a black tie dinner dance on New...

Dear Greg D, thank you very much for your great review and for choosing The Arden for past few years for your New Year's celebration. As mentioned, we have chosen to serve selection of cheeses, pork pies and scotch eggs instead of bacon sandwiches after midnight, I was disappointed that the change wasn't appreciated and we take all your comments...

Stayed for one night before seeing The Tempest at the RSC. View from our room was spectacular - the theatre from one window and the river from the other. Very comfortable spacious room at the top of the hotel. Had a drink in the cosy residents bar after we returned from the theatre- all staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was...

For visiting the RSC this is absolutely ideal, directly opposite the theatre and round the corner from lots of shops and eating places. Our room, overlooking the theatre and the river, was great (we benefited from a complimentary upgrade - thanks). Service was also friendly and efficient throughout (particular thanks to Jessica). Food was a bit more questionable. Breakfast was...

A very smart hotel with comfortable rooms and situated in a great location. Although breakfast was nice we did find the service a little slow. Our second visit to this hotel and it most certainly won't be our last.

Our 4th trip to SUA & chose this hotel due to its central location. We came with my parents (mum can't walk v far so being central was good) on a Christmas package, 3 nights from Christmas Eve including most meals & breakfast. It wasn't cheap at £950. Our room (Azalea) was a good size, big bath & separate shower....
