I stayed at the b&b for 2 nights with a friend and had an amazing stay. We were welcomed by Pascal who was very chatty and informed us about different things about the town as well as giving us pointers of where places were on the map and recommended a few places for food & drinks. Pascal was very entertaining... More

My room was facing the street and park, but not too noisy. The building is very nice, breakfasts excellent in beautiful dining room. The owners were away but Vivien handled everything well, she was so helpful regarding the town, and a very fun and friendly person. Everything was immaculately clean. I felt at home and would stay here again.

Arrived late but no problem for Vivienne. The accommodation we were in was excellent, shower was good, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Vivienne couldn't do enough for us. A really great host. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money, centrally located, good restaurants nearby.

One word....HORRIBLE!!! Let me count the ways: The shower clogged badly and almost flowed over the shallow edge. The window could not shut all the way, leaving a 1 - 2" gap. We froze with the chill in the air flowing in through the space that could not close completely shut. There were spider webs outside the window so who... More

Easy check in. Breakfasts adequate. Large room with minor maintenance issues. Vivian was an excellent host who took care of all questions and concerns. Easy to reach from train station and town centre.

This was my second visit to Salamander guest house. I returned because I think the location is excellent and the hospitality equally so. I haven't had the pleasure(?)of meeting Pascal.Vivienne has been our solicitous host, and has done everything we could expect to help us enjoy our stay. There are a few issues, but the cost is modest, everything is... More

Just back home today after visiting Stratford and stayed at the Salamander. This place was great and the owner Pascal was very friendly, helpful and a great sense of humour. This was our second visit to Stratford and we would definitely recommend staying at the Salamander Guest House. Thanks for an enjoyable stay Pascal

On arrival Pascal was very welcoming, gave us lots of information and let us have access to our room even though we were early which we appreciated. Sadly the good points ended there. The room was very dated with the tiniest shower ever. We were forewarned the pressure may not be great due to a large hotel that had recently... More

Had an overnight stay in the Salamander, on arrival we were met by the owner Pascal who showed us where to park our car. He then showed us our room which was excellent and then gave us a very informative guide to the town and attractions. Advised us of restaurants and bars to look at. We chose an Indian which... More
